Those were difficult days for the whole family, especially for Simon, Daniel and Jessica.  Bradley was just a newborn, he had arrived by surprise and at an inopportune time, and Cassandra, although she loved him with all her heart, as she loved her other children, motherhood was already beginning to weigh on her. She missed her glory days as an acrobat and recognized star. 

Tony Meets Dean Lothario

After breaking up with Tamika, Tony promised himself not to start any relationship again until he was completely sure of his feelings, and above all, that he had completely forgotten Cassandra.

Meanwhile, Cassandra went on with her life, which was most peaceful. Taking care of Bradley, boat ride with him around the Island while Dean was on his business trips and both prepared everything for their wedding. For her everything was going smoothly.

While Tony was confined to his house for months, going out just to report for his diving work at the Island Paradise Island City Hall.

Finally, after a few days of depression, he returned to Shang Simla in the hope of seeing Adaeze Min and, at least, be able to talk to her as a friend. But he was met with the news that Adaeze had gotten married with someone from the town, luckily no one he would know or had a friendship with.

As he was lonely now at the Thyme House, Tony didn't have any other option but to dedicate himself to meditation. Perhaps he would end up turning into a monk? by the direction his love life had taken, apparently yes.

But neither his comfortable home, nor the silence of the Shang Simla mountains, nor the long hours of meditation could bring him peace. In his mind there was only one thing, or rather, one person: Cassandra.

Worried about his father's mental health, Daniel traveled to Shang Simla to visit him, he stayed at the tourist camp and called him from there to talk to him. Tony explained him how he felt about Cassandra's wedding plans and asked him if he agreed with her marrying Dean.

"Dad, my mom is a grown up woman, she decides about her life. I can't interfere, like I didn't interfere with any of your marriages".

"That was different."

"Why, cause you're a man and she's a woman? Dad, please."

"That's not what I'm talking about that. I'm talking about the Lotharios in particular, they're not what you could call a model family".

"Neither was Scarlet's family, and still you married her".

"Scarlet was a good person, but Dean - I have a bad feeling about him".

"If Dean is a bad person, mom would realize sooner or later. She's an intelligent woman, she would be able to deal with it, you don't have to protect her anymore, Dad".

"You don't get it, Dan, I still love her".

"And she loves you, that's obvious. But suffered a lot already, now she made her decision ande there's nothing you can do about it, just - accept that you ruined it and move on".

"Accept that you ruined it and move on". Cruel, yet wise words which Tony accepted without an argument. Daniel was right, but "moving on" like he suggested wasn't an easy task. That night he stayed at the camp to try to pacify his mind through reading and meditation.

The next day, as he was leaving the camp, he had an unexpected encounter.

"Tony Langerak? I'm Dean Lothario, can we talk?"

"(Gosh, this can't be happening...)". 

From all people that could stay at the tourist camp, he had to run into Cassandra's fiancee, what were the odds?

They didn't talk much at that time. Tony apologized saying he was in a hurry, that he was glad to meet him and all that and left. But then they met again at the Martial Arts Academy. There Tony had the oppportunity to get to know Dean better. He wasn't a bad guy, in fact they shared a fondness for adventure and business. (And, obviously, they had the same taste in women, didn't they?). Anyway, Tony was polite with him, but did not go deeper into the conversation.

And when Dean left, he tried to forget about their encounter, focusing in his training.

But while he practiced, His frustration was growing as he thought about how wrong he had been about Dean. He wasn't a criminal, but a normal person. He was strong, good looking, well educated... A rival in every sense of the word. He said he loved Cassandra with all his heart, he promised he would make her happy, as Cassandra seeemd to be!

It was a fact, Dean had won Cassandra's heart, but for some reason, Tony still felt something was off. So, when they met again at the camp....

"I'm not gonna lie, I still love Cass and always will. So you better not make her suffer, or you'll be dealing with me". Dean was left without words and, after the encounter, he left the camp without saying goodbye.

Jessica and Royce: A Rushed Wedding

As we already know, Jessica discovered she was pregnant, so she and Royce had to get marry right away, although marrying wasn't among their plans.

As everything was so rushed, they had to have a very simple ceremony and with a few guests. Cassandra couldn't attend cause she was on a vacation with her boyfriend Dean Lothario, and because she didn't agree with that marriage.

Tony attended, but he was a bit sad during the ceremony. Other guests who accompanied Jessica on such an important day were her aunt Alexandra (Romina's mother);  and Tony's cousin Antoine.

It wasn't a glamorous wedding like Ashley and Sean's. The guests couldn't even dress properly due to the unusual cold, but even with all these obstacles, the ceremony went ahead.

Jessica pronnouced her vows in front of her friends and family, including his younger brother Bradley, and his half-brother Dorian, the son of Aislara, who wasn't present either by the way.

Even with the cold the wedding was carried out without a hitch. Jessica and Royce exchanged rings and became husband and wife. Now Jessica Langerak is Jessica Allani.

Tony didn't have any other choice but to resign himself to see them as much in love as ever.

Royce was now his son-in-law, the father of his grandson, there was nothing left to do but welcome him to the family, so he joined in the applause for the newlyweds. 

Gloria was one of the first to approach them to congratulate them. After all she knew Royce from the time when they both worked for the Langeraks.

Simon and Daniel arrived later, but they were there. By the way, they were the only ones wearing formal suits.

They both estimate Royce and have always supported their sister in everything, so they had to celebrate with her this time too.

Jessica and Royce cut the cake and shared it with their guests.

At the end of the party, Tony approached Jessica at last to give her his congratulations, and to take a selfie with her.

"I'm sorry that your mom couldn't attend".

"Oh, that's okay, she just called to congratulate me".

"Are you sure this is what you wanted, Jess?"

"Dad..."

"Okay, it's your life, just don't put your plans aside".

"Don't worry, Dad, I'm gonna be an explorer come what may, I promise".

The guests have left, the Allanis are left alone in their future home.

Sean and Ashley's Wedding

Ashley Alto and Sean Vidal's was the first of the two weddings that were celebrated in Island Paradise that winter.

Everybody in the island attended the ceremony, which was carried out at the Spa's gardens. Among the guests was, of course, Daniel, who look happy at all.

Ashley's mother, Lopita, on the other hand, looked ecstatic. Her daughter had finally got married, what a joy!

Ashley and Sean pronnounced their vows of love and fidelity.

They exchanged rings.

And in the end they sealed their promises with a tender kiss.

Now they're united for life.

What was Sean thinking, or should we say, Time who was he thinking of?

Time to cut the wedding cake, among the guests were as well Ashley's best friends: Jessica, Sarah and Romina.

Ashley is so excited, Daniel preferred to walk away for a while.

Sean cut out the first piece.

As Daniel wasn't very talkative, Gloria decided to settle an unfinished business.

  

That "business" was called Sarah Parks. Gloria went to ask her if it was true that she had Daniel's daughter. Sarah told her she had nothing to worry about.

"Daniel and I have an agreement, mi daughter won't be a nuisance for you".

"I surely hope so", Gloria replied. 

Jessica and Ashley stepped aside, hoping there wouldn't be any trouble. Thankfully, it all remained a friendly conversation.

 

Meanwhile, Daniel approached Sean to congratulate him.

"I wish you and Ashley all the happiness. Take good care of her, please".

"You don't need to ask me that".

"Promise me you'll be happy".

"We'll try".

That was goodbye for them, it starts a new stage in Sean and Daniel's lives... without each other.

Sean and Ashley Got Engaged Too

As soon as he knew that Jessica and Royce would marry soon, Sean cleared up his doubts and he proposed to Ashley too.

Ashley wasn't quite sure cause he knew what were Sean's true feelings, and she still felt something for Skip, but she accepted the proposal for the sake of her daughter.

The proposal wasn't glamorous at all. Sean popped the question before going to bed, she said yes, they sealed their commitment with a kiss and went to sleep. Everything seems to be alright now, but Sean still had something to do...

The next evening he went to see Daniel, and after months of not speaking to him, he apologized and announced his engagement to him.

"So you and Ashley are getting married".

"Yep".

"Are you sure that's what you want, Sean?"

"You married Gloria, didn't you'"

"Sean..."

"You I didn't give a damn about Gloria", Sean continued "But what I feel for you will never beat what you feel for her, so I will get married with Ash and we won't mention this ever again".

"Does that mean that...?"

"It means we're back as friends, but that's it".

"Sean, I..."

"I expect to see you at my wedding. Will you attend, Danny?"

"I'll be there, don't worry".

"Did you talk to Daniel?"

"Yes, everything's fine".

"Did you tell him that...?"

"I told him I forgave him for marrying Gloria, but that we will be just friends from now on".

"Did he get it?"

"I hope so".

"Good".

It was done, Sean was at peace now, he would be able to start his new life with Ashley, but--  would he be able to forget Daniel?
