What Happened with Emily Lothario - Part 4

"You are being selfish and unfair, not to me, but to our children, denying them to be with their father."

"Look who's talking about selfishness and injustice! I haven't denied them anything, it was you who abandoned them," Emily retorted. "You'll get the divorce, I'll be happy to sign it for you, but you're not going near my children again."

"What if they want to see me?"

"That's for them to decide when they're old enough. For now they're in my care, and that's the way they'll stay," Emily concluded.

Then Dean also flew into a rage: "I didn't think you were so vindictive. I can see you're hurt that I left you for someone better, with more class and education, that's why you want to get even."

Emily froze for a few seconds.

Then she reacted and, unable to contain herself any longer, she slapped him, not only for what he had just told her, but for the years of anguish he had put her through, disappearing from her life, from her home, and abandoning her with five small children. 

"Did it hurt? Good! Because the kids and I felt the same way when you left without even saying goodbye. I'm sorry, you know I'm not one to lash out. But you deserve it, I hope that helps you understand what you did to your family," she exclaimed as he was stunned by the blow. It was the first time she had rebelled against Dean since she had met him, and, to her surprise, this made her feel pretty good. Although, knowing Dean, she was a little worried about what his reaction would be.

What Happened With Emily Lothario? - Part 3

Dean asked Emily to meet him at his boathouse, and sent her his location. 

Emily wondered, what could it be, did he want to get back together with her? Make things up? Impossible. Now that she had met Cassandra, how pretty and rich she was, she knew Dean wouldn't give up and would go to great lengths not to lose her. Emily wasn't entirely wrong, but there was something else Dean wanted to ask of her besides divorce. 

He had not summoned her to ask her forgiveness, nor to beg her to let him come home. Apparently she was the last thing he cared about, he acted rather cold, as if they had never been a couple, as if they had never loved each other. The thing was, he wanted an immediate divorce and custody of his children to take them to live with him on the Island. It seemed so simple to him, what a nerve!

 

" Don't even dream of it," Emily replied to the point, "If Ron, who is now an adult, decides he wants to see you, there's nothing I can do to stop him. But my other children, don't you dare go near them, I won't let them get any illusions that you've come back only for you to disappoint them again, so my answer is no."

"Fine, then I'll fight for custody in court," he shot back.

"Better not even try, you'll look worse to them, and as soon as the judge hears your story, he's sure to rule in my favor."

What Happened with Emily Lothario? - Parte 2

When the celebrations at home were over, Ron left for college and her other children went back to school, Emily went straight to Island Paradise to meet this Cassandra, the woman Dean intended to marry. She took a plane, then a cab to the address she found out thanks to Antoine, the cousin of Cassandra's ex-husband. 

That same day he spoke to her and, as we all know, told her the truth about Dean, that he was her husband, that they had been married for many years and that he had left one day and never came back, without even giving her an explanation, and that just a few days before he had called her to ask for an urgent divorce. (We already know how Cassandra reacted to this, too).

Emily walked out of there that day vowing to herself not to look back. She would give Dean a divorce, stay in Sunset Valley with her children and never think about him again, or Cassandra. Whether they would stay together or not, that was no longer her problem.

But just as she was on her way to Island Paradise airport to catch her flight home, her phone rang, it was Dean, telling her he needed to talk to her about something important.

What Happened With Emily Lothario and her Kids - Part 1

What happened with Emily Lothario and her kids? Well, after Dean asked for a divorce to marry Cassandra...

She and her beautiful family of five children tried to go on with their lives.

Ron graduated from high school and they all celebrated with great joy.

In a few days, Ron would start his University Science and Medicine career.

Emily was so proud of him!

What Happened with Emily Lothario - Part 5

Also to Emily's surprise, after the slap, Dean didn't get aggressive or offend her again, on the contrary, the blow seemed to appease him, making him change his arrogant attitude to a more humble one.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean what I said, the last thing I wanted when I came here was to offend you. I didn't mean to hurt you and the kids either. Now I just want to end this in peace. Please, let's talk," he told her, as soon as he could recover. Emily felt bad at the time for hitting him. But, well, at least it had done some good.

"I'm sorry too," she hesitated "Like I said, I'm not an abusive person, but you weren't nice at all and I got out of line, so I apologize again for that. As for us talking, you and I have nothing more to talk about. You erased me from your life years ago, today I do the same. I'll have my lawyer call you. Goodbye Dean," Emily said and left the boathouse.

"Well," Dean thought to himself as she drove away in the cab. "At least I'll get a divorce, and my kids won't be able to say I didn't fight for them." 

Here ends the story of Dean and Emily Lothario, a marriage that began beautifully, and ended.... as it ended. 

 

Emily is back in Sunset Valley, and back at work, with her dear friend and colleague Antoine, for whom, she realizes, she has special feelings. But she is aware that Antoine is married, and after what happened to her with Dean, she would never do the same to Antoine's wife Ella, or their children. It's a shame because to her Antoine is everything Dean could never be. If only they had met before!

Cassandra Breaks up With Dean

"That night, when Dean came home from work, I told him what had happened with Emily and asked him for an explanation. At the beginning, he denied it all."

"But then he confessed to it. He defended himself saying he hadn't told me anything about her because he thought he'd get a divorce on time for the wedding".

 

'That's not the point', I told him. 'The point is you didn't tell me that you were married. You lied to me, Dean!' I was so angry that I started yelling at him, I called him a liar and a cheater.

"So he got angry too. He told  me I was overreacting, that he was doing everything in his power to get a divorce to marry me, that he didn't love Emily anymore and that, if she did not give him the divorce, he would use his political influence to obtain it from her. That was a red flag for me. He was being selfish and arrogant, and if he was capable of doing this to his own family, someday he would do it to me as well!"

"I went in panic. I told him that we were over and asked him to leave my house at once. He didn't argue anymore". 

"Call me when you calm down, so we can talk like civilized people", he said, and left without admitting his guilt and without even an apology.

 

"I haven't heard about him since. Not a call, not even a short text message.

"I suppose he's expecting you to call him. The f*ing idiot... Sorry".

"That's okay. I don't wanna talk to him ever again in my life".

Tony's Return to Island Paradise

Okay now, let's go back to Island Paradise to see what happened after Antoine called Tony to ask him to talk to Cassandra about what had happened with Dean Lothario, and to prevent her from marrying an already married man. Here's what happened:

As soon as he returned from his honeymoon in Champs LesSims, Tony decided to go to see Cassandra at her home. At this point he had not yet told Jeannine anything about it cause he didn't think it was necessary.

As soon as he was left alone, he called Cass to her cell phone, but nobody answered.

He waited on line for a while but he never got an answer.

That worried him. Where was Cass and why didn't she pick up her phone?

Withouth thinking twice he headed for her house to see what was going on.

He knocked on the door several time and had to wait for someone to answer it.

It was his son Bradley, not Cassandra who answered.

"Dad, hi..."

"Hi, Bradley, is your mom in? I need to talk to her, it's kind of urgent".

"Just now I was going to call you. Mom... left".

"What? What do you mean she left?"

"She had a problem with Dean".

"What kind of problem?"

"Come in, I'll explain to you".

Bradley didn't know where to begin, he was very nervous.

"Brad? What happened, come on, tell me", Tony rushed him.

"Mom and Dean argued last night, I don't know exactly for what reason".

(Tony knew what that reason was). 

"She was out of her mind, like I have never seen her before".

(Tony knew that fury well).

"I heard Dean apologize to her once and again".

"But Mom was relentless and, in the end, she threw him out of the house. She told him she didn't want to see him again".

"Dean didn't argue anymore, as soon as dawn broke, he left the house. For what I heard, he would stay at his houseboat until mom calmed down".

"Mamá was devastated. She wouldn't tell me what happened. She said that it was adult stuff and that I should go back to sleep".

"I suppose it all had to do with the woman who visited yesterday morning, a woman called Emily".

(Emily, Lothario's wife, of course!)

"She asked me if Dean was home, I told her he was at work with his campaign team. Then she told me she needed to talk to my mom urgently. Mom had just left for work too. I remember thinking I was gonna be late for school".

 "Still, I let her in and asked her to wait while I tried to reach my mom".

"I called her to the set where she was filming a commercial and told her that a woman named Emily Lothario was here and wanted to talk to her".

"Mom said she'll be here right away, I hang up the phone and told Emily to come into the living room, that mom wasn't far and would be here in a few minutes".

"I left her there waiting and went upstairs to get ready for school".

"Shortly after, my mother arrived. And that's all I know cause I have to leave for school".

"When I came back mom looked worried, but she didn't tell me anything about her conversation with Emily and I didn't ask her either".

"In the evening, she had that horrible argument with Dean, which I have already told you about".

"And this morning she informed me that they had broken up, that he was gone never to return, and that she needed some time out. I asked her how much, she said she didn't know, she just needed to leave Island Paradise  tiempo fuera. Le pregunté cuánto, me dijo que no sabía, sólo necesitaba irse de Island Paradise indefinitely."

"She told me she'd leave immediately, that she had called Simon to look after me, and that, as soon as you arrived, I'd move with you like it had been planned before you left for Champs Les Sims".

"When will you return?", I asked her.

"I don't know", she told me, and apologized to me.

"She gave me a hug and went upstairs to her bedroom to start packing".

"She left around noon, after talking to my siblings, all the three of them tried to convince her to stay, but she didn't listen to them. I must say she was already very depressed because of your wedding; and today she looked really bad, Dad, you have to do something".

"Do you know where she went?"

"Starlight Shores, to grandparents Simon and Myriam's house".

"Starlight Shores, of course..."

"Will you go look for her? Say you will, please, dad".

"I'll tell you what we'll do. For now, you won't go to your brothers', you'll come with me right now. Go pack a few things, we'll come for the rest later. As for your mother, I - will see what I can do".
