Terence's Evil Red Glow
In Caterina's case, she has the Family Oriented trait (she's Over-Emotional and Hopeless Romantic too), that's probably why she and Terence can't stand each other. The Vanderburgs in general can't stand Terry for obvious reasons. Also, Terry has the Mean-Spirited trait but (amazingly enough) not the Evil trait, and he's a Kleptomaniac too! 😆

Also, he should talk to Kelly and convince her, not to agree to him sleeping with Riley as Terry suggested, but to give in and admit that it was better to leave the apartment, to live alone and peacefully as they used to, even if it was in a totally different place.
True, it would not be an easy task, there was a chance that both conversations could go wrong, but they were necessary to try to end this absurd situation once and for all.
Dale: Anyway, congratulations on your new casino, I hope your relocation and your business go smoothly. Just please try to stay out of trouble, okay?
Terence: Ha, that's a lot to ask of Terry the Terrible, but don't worry I'm as careful as I can... I gotta go now, good luck with Ms. Woods and please, don't forget to phone me to tell me all the dirty details, hee hee.
Terence finally managed to make Dale laugh, even if it was only a nervous laughter.
Dale: You always say that, you're disgusting!
Terence: Sure, it's my job to be! - Just kidding, do whatever is most convenient for you. Anything you decide to do, whatever the outcome, I'll be there to support you.
Dale: Thank you, bro. I think I know what I'm going to do now. Believe it or not, your 'advice' helped me decide.
Terence: (Laughs) Well - I know I'm not the best counselor, but I'm glad to know that I helped you in some way.
Dale: You sure did, T. Thanks again and sorry for taking up your time.
Terence: Ah, it was nothing. Good luck, D. Take care of yourself. See you when I see you. (Hangs up)
Dale: Sounds good in theory, but there's one little problem: Kelly doesn't want to go, and you know why.
(*Brief silence from Terence*)
Terence: Oh, well, that's okay, I know you have your own plans, but maybe someday you could at least visit me.
Dale: I don't know, maybe.
Terence: Ah, you should see the casino, it's a dream come true... It's still very bare bones, mind you, but I'll fix it up. I'll expand the gaming room and the bar, put in a dance floor, bubble bars, a spa and, of course, a karaoke. It will look top notch.
Dale: A karaoke. Seriously?
Terence: Yes! We're a family of singers, aren't we?
Terence: Anyway, think about what I told you. Pleasing Riley could be the solution to all your problems.
Dale: If you say so.
Terence: It's not me saying it, it's a fact. It's business, and you're a businessman, so go get this done. Now, I really hate to hang up in the middle of such a juicy conversation, but..."
Dale: Wait. I need to ask you one more little thing.
Terence: Um, all right, ask away.
Dale took a deep breath before throwing the question.
Dale: Is it true that you plan to move permanently to Lucky Palms?
Terence: It's true. But I'd already told you, hadn't I?
Dale: Well, you told me you were buying a casino, but you didn't say anything about living there.
Terence: I changed my mind. It's much better for me to stay there to run the business. In fact, I'm in final preparations for the move. Cyn didn't like the idea, but - Ah, she'll get used to it.
Dale: (Sighs) I see. Now, is it true that you want me to go with you?
Terence: Yes, I'd love you to come over someday to see the place and give me advice for the bar.
Dale: But you never said anything about me and Kel moving there, did you?
Terence: No, I didn't say anything like that, it must have been another of Riley's gossips, I guess. Doesn't mean I don't think you and Kelly should move there as well.
Dale: Yeah? What for?
Terence: Well, you could manage my casino bar, you'd work there until you could gather the experience to set up your own; Kel would meet top producers who could launch her modeling career in a heartbeat. It would be a huge boost for both of you, professionally. You guys wouldn't even have to go back to college, you'll forget about all this trouble with Riley once and for all.

Dale: You make it look so easy, but seriously, your advice is a ticking time bomb waiting to explode. For starters, I can't ask Kelly to 'approve', that will only make her mad at me, and at you, for advising me.
Terence: Maybe, but if you don't tell her and go behind her back, she'll find out one way or another, and the outcome will be much worse.
Dale: I won't have to go behind her back, cause I'm not going to do anything. Don’t you understand? Going to bed with Riley would be like getting into a black widow's web.
Terence: Come on brother, don't be tragic, this is a piece of cake for you.
Dale: No, it isn't. If I fulfill Riley's whim, she'll have that to keep extorting me.
Terence: Or - she'll be so satisfied that she'll honor the deal and leave the dorm.
Dale: I don't think so.
Terence: I do. Rich girls are like that, they have a whim, they satisfy it and forget about you right away. Sounds familiar?
Dale: Hm, Terry... let's not go there, okay?
Terence: Okay, my bad. But seriously, do as I tell you. It's no big deal, just think of it as a business operation.
Dale: It's hard to look at this as just business. It's a lot at stake for me. My whole relationship with Kelly, for one. And what about Sarah? She could get mad at me as well, and then I'd have not just one enemy, but two.
Terence: Sarah? Oh, Sarah Parker, yes. Well, you'd be doing her a favor by ridding her of Riley. By the way, I heard she's got the Evil trait, do you think she'd want to join my gang - erm, my business group?
Dale. Terry, please, no.
Terence: Why? She's smart, she could help us with the 'scientific' part of our job. Do you think you could figure out her traits for me?"
Dale: Terence, forget it, ok? I don't know what traits Sarah has, but she seems like a nice girl to me, so just stay away from her, ok?
Terence: Okay, okay. I'll forget about her. For now.
Terence: I'm being serious. Kelly wants all your attention on her the whole time, she's kind of needy and insecure, but she does love you and is rather open-minded. If you explain the situation to her, that you need to, you know, do it with Riley for a greater good...
Dale: A greater good - Are you out of your mind? Asking Kelly for 'permission' to sleep with Riley would be like jumping off a cliff! Cause she'll never, ever agree, all she'll do is tell me to go to hell and I'll have lost everything over nothing!
Terence: Ah, come on, bro, you're overreacting. I'm sure deep, deep down Kelly's a very understanding girl. It's worth a try isn't it? Besides, what else can you do? Apparently you won't be able to get Riley out of there unless you meet her condition. So just rip off the band-aid, man; do what you have to do and you'll be free in no time.
Dale: So what am I supposed to do, put up with Riley from here until graduation?
Terence: Nah, none of that. Listen, the girl has a whim, and you need to get rid of her, so the solution is quite simple: give her what she wants.
Dale: What? Are you asking me to sleep with the enemy?
Terence: Why not? She's not bad at all, you could have a good time.
Dale: Absolutely not! If I give it to her side she'll use that later to blackmail me and it'll be the never ending story.
Dale: Not to mention Kelly, who will want to kill Riley, me, and you in passing, for advising me such a thing.
Terence: Ah, please, Kelly wouldn't hurt a fly. She's a good girl, she appears to be a jealous freak, but what she wants is just your attention. Like that song she loves to sing, what does it say? (*Sings trying to mimic Kelly's voice*): 'Wouldn't cause you any harm, I just want you in my arms... I can't help myself. Baby, there's a sh...'
Dale: Oh, come on, Terry stop singing, this is serious.
Alone in his room, Dale pulled out his phone and dialed his brother in Hidden Springs to tell him what had happened and ask his advice.
Terence answered the phone in good humor as always, but in a hurry as he was about to leave for a 'business' meeting and had only a few minutes to talk. It would be difficult to tell him everything in such a short time, but Dale would at least try.

Dec 13, 2021
The next morning, Dale is up early, feeling much more rested, and with a clearer mind. He’s thinking about how he’s going to tell Kelly they may have to move out of the apartment, when his phone alert buzzes.
It’s a message from Terence. It’s not even eight o'clock and he’s already awake, after working until 3 am? Yep, that’s Terry, he probably went for a jog and came back, drank his protein shake and is now ready to spend the day with his wife and baby. Anyway, he clicked on the message and read.
“Hey, bro. Good news. I called G.W. Woods earlier this morning. The guy owed me a favor so I cashed out. I asked him for a discount for you on the apartment rent. He offered 70%. How about that? You won’t have to ‘please’ his spoiled little daughter anymore, huh? Hahaha. Enjoy your apartment, D. Enjoy your relationship with Kel as well and, above all, always remember: business is business, keep a cold mind and don’t take anything personally. Talk to you later, I’m off to the park with Cyn and Davy now. Hugs, Terry”.
Dale: Yes! Thank you so much, Terry. I knew you wouldn’t let me down…
Mind you, Terry was not entirely innocent, because he had stolen Cyn from Dale in the first place, although, this was not entirely his doing, because Cynthia had fallen in love with him like a fool. Whether Terence was in love with Cyn or with her family’s money, that remains to be seen. The point here is Dale decided to take revenge by stealing Kelly from Terry in return.
Wait a minute. Dale stole Kelly from Terry? In a way, yes. It was no secret (at least in the Cho family) that Kelly had been Terence’s crush since high school and that when she worked in the fire department with his dad, Terry would show up at the station under any pretext to see Kelly working out or cleaning the fire truck.
Of course, Kelly never gave Terry a single glance, but Dale knew that he continued to secretly admire her. So, when the opportunity came up, Dale decided to ‘steal’ Kelly from him as vengeance for Cynthia.
Well, 'steal from him’ isn’t exactly the right term here, because in truth, Kelly was never of Terence’s, and because Dale didn’t plan his chimney fire, nor did he specifically call Kelly to put it out. The fire had started by accident, and the fire department decided to send Kelly.
That evening Dale realized, from the way she looked at him, that he was her crush, not Terry. And then it occurred to him that asking her out would be a good way to get even with Terry.
So he called her, asked her out on a date, Kelly of course accepted, and the rest is history…
By the way, why does Kelly hate Terence so much? That remains a mystery. In Dale’s opinion, the two of them are just not compatible, and that’s all.
They are oil and water, although deep down, deep, deep down, they have something in common: they both like control.
Cyn is the opposite, always looking for a leader, a mentor, someone to guide her, someone she can obey. That’s why she makes a good team with Terry, and also why Dale believes each one is now with whom he should be.
Dale: Thanks anyway, T. Now I have my discount, I don’t have to leave my apartment, and the best part: I won’t have to date Riley Woods. Man, I can’t wait to tell Kelly the good news!“
