The newlyweds continue dancing; the room begins to empty. (Not that there have been that many guests, just the family, but they alone managed to eat one cake and a half).

Aaron thinks it's a good time to leave; Kay plans to stay a little longer.

It seems that she and Kayla have better things to do than to keep Kristina company, but she didn't take them badly, that's the Wassems, they can't go a moment without doing their stuff.

The rest of the family left with Aaron; Benni is also leaving. Nathan stayed behind to wait for Kay and Kayla.

The afternoon keeps going on, Nathan is almost finished with his cake, Kristina is standing up. It's time for the dance.

Meanwhile, Kay watches them from afar. She's not sure if their marriage is going to work, but she admits they make a cute couple.

Nathan and Benni are also together already. We have two happy couples in the house this afternoon. 😊

 

 Finally, Khaled went to sit with Benni, as Nathan seems to be too busy texting on his phone. He's probably posting pictures on social media.

And Kayla sat with Aaron and Liang, God only knows where Kira and Kevin are. Aaron would like to say a thing or two to Liang, but it wouldn't be polite on his wedding day.

Fortunately, Kayla diverts the conversation and starts talking to Liang about computers.

Aaron ends up bragging about his cooking skills. Liang doesn't know much about either topic, so he decides it's time to go find his wife.

Kristina sat with her mom this time, for the first cake she sat with her dad. Khaled and Kayla already finished theirs and are just hanging around. (My wedding tables decided to switch to default, I don't know why. But Kristina and Liang were already married, and I didn't want to repeat the whole wedding, so I let it slide this time).

Kay complained to Kristina, why didn't she give her advance notice? She would have taken her to the doctor and helped her organize a better reception.  

"Oh, no, mom, leave Tina alone, it's her wedding day!" Khaled and Kayla seem to think.

As her only response, Kristina chokes on her cake; Kay decides to cut her some slack.

Kristina and Liang decided to cut a second cake, because: 1) The one in The Sims 3 store gives non-existent slices. 2) Some guests did not arrive in time to see them cut the first one.  

Not to mention that there was yet another cake on the wedding buffet table XD

Everyone gets to eat real cake now.

 Well, they're all there (including Nathan), now it's just a matter of waiting for everyone to put on their formal attire.

Kristina's mother, Kay, is ready, only Aaron and everyone else is missing. Liang takes the moment to contemplate his (non-existent) wedding ring. 😄

And there's Aaron, finally! Now, let's get on with it. Kristina starts cutting the cake.

Benni Hennessey has joined them, Nathan is still nowhere to be seen, he must be out with his little siblings.

Oh, here's Nathan already. Meanhile, Kay congratulates the groom and Benni stands bedazzled by the Wassems' celebrity.

Liang arrived home from work at that moment and spoke to Kay himself. He told her that she had nothing to worry about, cause he loved Kristina and was going to marry her.

Kay didn't take it well this time either, you can't blame her, it's the first time she's seen Liang in her life. Plus, she still thinks Kristina is too young to get married. And that was only her mother's reaction, it remains to be seen what her father will say.

 Anyway, there's not much that Kay and Aaron can do, a baby is already on the way and Kristina and Liang are clearly in love. No doubt about it, if somewhat premature and rushed, there will be a wedding in the Wassem family!

Kristina invited her mother home to tell her. It was a bit awkward because she had to tell her, first, that she had met Liang in Shang Simla and that they were in love; then that she was pregnant; and lastly that they were getting married. Three news in one!

 You can tell Kay didn't take it very well... And Aaron has yet to be told.

At the Fall Festival

As is tradition, the Wassems attended the Fall Festival.

Kay is already an expert at bobbing apples.

Aaron turned into a ghost after entering the Spooky house. Fortunately this "spell" is temporary.

Nathan just discovered that Dakota has fleas.

Now he has to take her home to give her a bath.

Meanwhile, Kira and Kristina take part in the eating contest.

Nathan Wassem's Graduation

We're back in Appaloosa Plains with the Wassem family. Nathan, the Wassem's second child, just graduated from High School.

The Wassems From Appaloosa Plains

Appaloosa Plains is Sims 3 "world" which I haven't played much with. Less than a year ago, in june 2020 I moved the Wassem family here. They're one of my favorite families among the hundreds of families I've piled up in the Sims 3. They previously lived in Hidden Springs and I pulbished some posts about them, the latest was around 2015. You can follow their story in the Wassem tag. But - who are they and what are they doing nowadays?

First, a little memory: Aaron Wassem is the son of Khaled Wassem, Farid Kamel's half- brother, therefore, Aaron belongs to my second generation of sims. Although he's much younger than the other members of said generation. Aaron studied Science and Medicine at the University, he works as an independent Gardener and currently is a Seed Sower (Level 7), he has his own orchard and makes a living by selling his produce at the local market.

Kay Wassem, Aaron's wife, is the daughter of Elisa Goth amd Gan Huan, granddaughter of Mortimer Goth and his second wife Myra Kamel. That is, Kay is a direct descendant of the Goths and the Kamels, founders of the dynasty. She studied Science and Medicine too, (in fact, she and Aaron attended college together) and currently she works as Top-Secret Researcher (Level 8) at the Appaloosa Plains.Hospital and Investigation Area facilities. 

Kristina is Aaron and Kay's oldest daughter, she's already a young adult and soon she'll go to the University.

The second son of the Wassems is Nathan, still a high school student.

The third is Kira, who is only a child but will become a teen soon. And there's also the triplets...

 Khaled.

Kevin.

And Kayla, who are still babies and were born in Appaloosa Plains.

This is the Wassem's new home at 19442 de Bob-o-Link Drive.

Here we can appreciate the small and recently started orchard of Aaron's. The one he had in Hidden Springs was much bigger, but he is just starting here. On the left, you can see Kay's private lab where they both perform their horticulture experiments.

Here's Kristina, shortly before her birthday, when she was still in hight school, doing her homework. With her is Kira, enjoying her supper.

The Wassems are a very sociable family, that's why, during their first Snowflake Day in Appaloosa Plains, Aaron and Kay threw a gift giving party and invited their neighbors to get to know them. Cuck Martingale-Hobble turned out to be a chatterbox, during the gathering he didn't let anyone else talk. Look at Kristina and Kira's faces, they were probably wondering where are their parents and why won't they come to their rescue?

Chuck continues talking non-stop, Kristina doesn't know that to shut him up. And the other guests, Gracie Loveland (Kay's boss), Benni Henessy (Kristina's High School classmate) and Shawnee Fox, Aaron's neighbor and friend, are starting to get bored now.

It's a fact, everyone's fed up, Nathan can't take it anymore. He wishes Kay and Aaron would hurry and appear suddenly so they can start opening the presents or Chuck will never shut up.

Another important ocassion: Kristina's birthday.

And her graduation from high school. Like I said before, she'll go to the University soon. She wants to be a scientist, like her parents, and his lifetime wish is Scientific Specialist. This interest for science is in her genes, it comes from her ancestors, the Goths.

Sometimes is difficult for Kay to deal with everything: the triplets, her other children, work, science and her experiments. But she's strong and brilliant, she can do all that and more. With her guidance her family will surely go far. 

Ant that's all about the Wassems of Appaloosa Plains, we'll come back to them later to see a bit more of their lives. For now there are other pending stories that I need to continue to complete the 2020 content, and thus be able to begin with the 2021 stories, which I hope will be of interest to you!
