Already back from work, in the comfort of Terence's new home. It's so fabulous, he could get used to living in it. Terry is lucky that he has such good taste for choosing houses.

A quick shower and a change of clothes. Lina is coming to visit and is about to arrive.

As soon as Lina arrived they started arguing, apparently, she didn't like the fact that he is living in Terry the Terrible's house, she doesn't like the fact that Jaycen is associating with him either. (Sorry Lina, you better get used to it!)

It seems that the discussion escalated, goodbye to Jaycen's plans to have a good time with Lina in the luxurious mansion.

 In the end Lina apologized, but it was too late, Jaycen was already in a bad mood. 😣

The carpool arrived, Jaycen is leaving for work.

The casino can be seen in the distance. Jaycen doesn't go there now, but he will visit it later.

There it is, the Lucky Simoleon Casino in all its glory.

 And this is the Sahara Corporate Headquarters, Jaycen's workplace. It's a little late, but he's already here. Ah, he'd rather be at the casino, but what can you do, he's the heir of the Hendrix fortune, he has to manage the family business.

It's early morning in Lucky Palms…

Jaycen takes a quick breakfast before going to work.

 The day started a bit cloudy, but later the sun will surely shine high above, heating the Lucky Palms desert sands as usual.

Some strange lights appeared in the Lucky Palms sky at night. It's not the first time. Some say it is about unicorns, (do those really exist?), the truth is no one knows what's going on.

Weird things often happen in the middle of the desert at that hour.  Rumors say they come from the Area-52 Labs, or The Warehouse, the Lucky Palms mobsters' hideout, which 'happens' to be next to the Labs. Ah, Terry is going to love all this for sure. 

Now, to watch some TV before going to sleep, tomorrow he has to get up early for work and to check on the Casino. 

Since he has to house-sit for his boss - erm, partner, while he moves to Lucky Palms, Jaycen has taken up temporary residence here, so he's enjoying all the advanced technology, especially in the kitchen.

Macaroni & Cheese is not what you might call gourmet, but given Jaycen's limited culinary skills, it will suffice for tonight.

 

But we'll get back with Terry and the Cho Brothers later, for now we return to Jayden, who we see here checking the interiors of the house he picked for his business associate. 

He still thinks it is perfect for Terry, and knowing him, he's going to love it.

Jaycen has to check that everything is in order and working, he assumes that involves testing the food in the fridge as well.

Like I said before, Jaycen is going to be Terence Cho's partner in his next business, the Lucky Simoleon Casino. Terry is going to move to Lucky Palms soon, so he gave Jaycen the mission to find a house for him. Jaycen found one that he thinks is perfect for Terence and his little family.

This amazing building is Eco Modern Marvel, by who else but pancake101, one of my favorite Sims 3 lot creators. 💗 

There is where Terry and Cynthia (and their little son David) will be moving to shortly. They are already in preparations to leave Hidden Springs.

 

 Ok, back to the Sims 3 and straight to Lucky Palms with Jaycen Hendrix, who I told you about earlier in this post.

According to SimsWiki, Jaycen Hendrix is "a pre-made Sim living in the downloadable neighborhood of Lucky Palms. He is a rich playboy and has inherited most of his money and his job from his father. He has an unborn child, whose mother is Lina Lancaster. The two are just friends when the game begins".

The latter is the reason why Lina had a baby shortly after my Lucky Palms game started, and it turned out that it was Jaycen's. As you can see in the photo above, there is already a crib in Jaycen's bedroom, but there's no sign that he is going to marry Lina any time soon.

Testing the Modeling - Interaction and Skill Mod

Okay, so I decided to try the new mod Modeling - Interaction and Skill by mintbeehry from MTS. I tried it with Kelly, from my gameplay The Cho Brothers, because she's already in the Modeling career. She's not the only one in my gameplay who is in this career, though, but she's the one that has advanced the most in it. 

Now, please, brace yourselves cause this is going to be a long post.

Here's Kelly posing in the backdrop. This time I registered a random sim as a photographer, later I will assign a photographer specially chosen by me. But, for now, Ian got the part, and I must say that everything worked great. You can set your work schedule, that is, from what time to what time your sim will have his/her photo shoot.

At first, I had to put the backdrop outside the house because I didn't have enough space and the lamps were blocking the photographer's path. If you use this mod, always make sure you put the backdrop and the other objects of your photo studio in a spacious room, because if you don't, the photographer will stay outside, stomping their feet cause they can't come close to their model. (By the way, it took me a while to figure out how to hire the photographer, it turns out you have to use the Nraas>Register option. Once I understood this, everything got easier).

At first, Kelly posed in her outerwear, because she had to go outside. But you can change your model into her career clothes using the Moschino Designer Dresser by ATS3 from the Moschino Furniture & Photographer Stuff Set. This set includes other the items you'll need to create your own photo studio. You can also use this Photo Studio Set by Kewai-Dou, that is if you dare to download from ad.fly. I personally don't.

The Modeling - Interaction and Skill mod comes with its own career outfits. Kelly wore the career outfits previously assigned to her cause she's already in the Modeling Career, at Level 4, which is Magazine Model. This is a custom career by MissyHissy which requires the Nraas Careers mod to work. 

These are other of the different poses that correspond to Level 0, Portrait/Portrait with Bouquet. Kelly is a Level 0 now, cause she has just started using the backdrop. The mod comes with 7 levels/photoshoot types, each with their own outfit change.

109. When the session is finished, the model, Kelly in this case, seems to thank the photographer for his work, I guess he replies something like, 'oh it's nothing, it was a pleasure working with you'. Hahaha. 

Okay, I don't know if he says that to her, or if she actually 'thanks him', but they both look happy to have worked together. 

Then the photographer leaves at the appointed ending hour for the photo session, both he and the model change to their everyday outfits. (Kelly changes to her everyday hair too). I didn't assign any special clothes to my photographer this time, that's why his career clothes didn't look very professional, lol. The good news is that you can change your photographer's clothes (in the backdrop options), and that he will increase his photography skill during the photo shoots.

Ok, this wasn't exactly a review; I just tested the mod and wanted to let you know how it went. I must say I really liked it cause it just made my game, and Kelly's career, more interesting. So, I highly recommend it to everyone who has aspiring model sims in their games.

 The moving van, with Dale and Kelly inside, finally pulls away.

Riley obviously isn't happy. Sarah, on the other hand, breathes a sigh of relief. In a few minutes the two of them will also leave the dormitory. Riley, for good; Sarah will return the next trimester.

She hopes that, once out of the dorm, Riley will forget about Dale and everyone, including herself, will be able to continue their studies in peace.

(She hopes as well that Mandrake will finally go away soon so she can leave and lock up).

 Dale and Kelly are already in the van, Sarah doesn't want to talk to Riley anymore, but she will have to. Hopefully, this will be the last time.

Sarah: So you were going to tell Dale exactly what you asked me not to tell him.

Riley: You have to understand me, it was my last chance, I thought if I told him….

Sarah: He would feel sorry for you?

Sarah: Come on Rye, you're smarter than that.

Riley: I know, but I just had to try.

Sarah: I know cause it's something that concerns me directly. And it involves you too… unfortunately.

Dale: ¿¿?? I don't understand, please explain to me.

Sarah: I'm sorry, but I can't, I promised Riley I wouldn't say anything about it.

Dale: But she was going to tell me anyway.

Sarah: Yeah, she must have thought that it would win your sympathy, but actually, it was better that she didn't tell you, so you will be more at ease. Actually, it was better that she didn't, so you will be more at ease

Dale: But you just said it concerned me, so I have a right to know, don't you think?

Sarah: Maybe, but like I said, it's not my place to tell you, it's a family matter, a private one.

Dale: Which you said affected you.

Sarah: Not anymore, cause Riley and I are done, probably for good. What I can tell you, though, is that I broke with Riley thanks to that important matter; truth be told, I'd rather lose her than have her ruin your life.

Dale: Ruin my life, how?

Kelly: (From upstairs) Dale, honey, the transport is here, it's time to go!

Sarah: (Sighs) Well, Cho, I think I already say too much; now go upstairs or you'll miss your ride. Good luck to you and Kelly, and please stay away from Riley from now on.

That was the end of the conversation, and Dale was left with more questions than answers.

After the abrupt end of his conversation with Riley, and for the brief moments remaining of the trimester, Dale kept wondering what was this important thing she had to tell him? Was it another one of her tricks? Some ace she had up her sleeve? Anything he should know about?

Of course he should know, he had to be prepared for any possible low blow from Riley. And who better than Sarah to know what she was up to? So, while Kelly finished packing, Dale went to the bar downstairs where Sarah was.

Sarah: Cho? What are you doing here? Your transportation is about to arrive.

Dale: Yeah, I know there's not much time left so I'd like to ask you something.

Sarah: Hm, okay, go ahead.

Dale: Do you know what's that "important matter" Riley wanted to talk to me about earlier?

Sarah: Huh?

Dale: Please don't say you don't, cause I'm not going to believe you.

Sarah: Okay.

Dale: Okay? So you do know.

Sarah: (Sighs) Well, if this is what I'm thinking, yeah, I do.
