Speaking About University Students...

And speaking about University students, there's someone that also returned to Uni, this time to conclude her Communications career.

Yes, we're talking about Jessica Langerak (now Jessica Allani), photographer and explorer from Island Paradise, who has left her husband and baby for a few months to finish the career that would allow her to do better at her job.

Jessica has already two degrees, one in Science and Medicine, and another in Physical Education, but now whe needs one in Communications to move up in her Photography career.

It was going to be difficult for her to live all those months far from Royce and her little Bryce, but Jessica thought that, in the end, it would be worth. Everything was for the better!

She would wake up early in the morning to study.

And in the afternoon, as she returned from her classes, she would call Royce to know how he and Bryce were doing.

Then, a little excercise to relax and forget how much she missed her family and the Island.

In the evening, she would go to the karaoke to distract herself before going to sleep, although she eneded up admitting that she'd never be as good a singer as her brother Daniel.

She realized too that she didn't feel well being there alone.

So she asked Royce to come to visit her and stay with her for a few days.

Once Royce was there, Jessica tried to convince him to stay and study something that would help him get a better job.

Royce didn't like the idea. He tried, he really did...

But the University stress with the classes, the credits, the exams and the rest, weren't for him. Royce preferred the peaceful family life at the Island, with his baby, and his modest job at a law firm.

 

So he got rid of his new university look and returned to Island Paradise.

 

And Jessica was alone again, asking herself if Royce's lack of ambition would be a problem for their marriage and for the Langeraks, who were so fond of success.

That is to say, she still loved Royce, but she was afraid that their different ways of thinking and seeing life would end up separating them. Perhaps her father was right and Royce wasn't the kind of husband she needed? She rather not thing about that.

Somehow, it was good that Royce liked to be at home. 

That he would rather cook and take care of Royce than to be at the University, throwing parties and getting drunk with his roomies.

With him at home, Bryce would never feel lonely whenever Jessica went on her adventure trips, or to take photographs, but...

How long could Royce stand to live like this, always alone, in the shadow of the next project of the restless Jessica?

As if this wasn't enough, Royce knew that at the University. Jessica could meet again with her ex boyfriend, Troy Francis, who, after their break up, had completely disappeared from the radar.

But rumors had it that, after months of being missing, Troy had moved incognito to Island Paradise to try to contact Jessica and try to get her back. Could this be true?

Romina, Ashley and Sarah Graduate too

Affer Jessica's graduation there was a small celebration with family and friends. As the evening fell, she, Romina and Ashley returned to Island Paradise. 

Only Harold and Troy stayed in the dorm, waiting for Romina to return.

Troy, disappointed, drinking and without saying a word.

He had no idea who this Royce Allani was, or why Jessica hadn't picked him, what he did know was that he wouldn't sit there with his arms crossed. He'd take some time to finish his Physical Education career and they he'd go to Island Paradise to look for her.

The next trimester, very early in the morning, Romina and Ashley returned, this time accompanied by Sarah.

The three of them would live in the same apartment. Harold would live with them; Troy knew that the three girls were on Royce's side and that created an awkward atmosphere, so he moved back to his previous dorm.

One trimester later, the long awaited graduation day arrived. Romina got her Physical Education degree.

Sarah got a Technology one.

And Ashley one in Business.

It was a rather lonely graduation, since most of their friends had graduated previously.

The only ones who attended were Romina's grandpartens, Robert and Camilla, with whom Harold hurried to introduce himself. It was good to start by getting to know his future family, since he and Romina had gotten engaged and planned to move in together when they arrived to Island Paradise. That would be of course after his own graduation.

For Romina, everything was a celebration that day: her graduation, her engagement with Harold, and the presence of her beloved family.

For Ashley it was a sad ocassion, since not even Sean had been able to attend, and Skip had gon on a vacation with his parents.

She and Romina returned immediately to Island Paradise, Sarah left shortly after. Harold would meet Romina at the end of the next trimester. Ashley had no idea what would happen with her and Sean.

A cycle had been completed for Romina, Ashley, Sarah and Jessica. What did the future hold for them in Island Paradise? Only time would tell.

Jessica Says Goodbye to Troy

When Jessica returned to the University, she didn't dare to tell Troy anything at first, but she knew she'd had to do it at some point before her graduation day.

And that day arrived. Troy of course was the first to get there.

Romina's new boyfriend, Harold Assange, attended too.

And Ashley's best friend Skip Taylor too.

Skip had asked Ashley to be his girlfriend, but she say she couldn't accept cause she was still expecting Sean to propose marriage to her. Skip was disappointed, but didn't lose hope that she'd change her mind someday.

Sarah attended the graduation too, along with her little daughter, Savannah. She was still Jessica and Romina's roommate in Island Paradise.

Jessica didn't wait and talked to Troy before the ceremony. The truth, it wasn't a suprise for him. Since the moment Jessica had told him that she had a boyfriend in Island Paradise, she knew something like this could happen.

He of course didn't want to break up with her, but what else could he do? Jessica said she loved Royce, and there was nothing he could do about it, except, perhaps, wait for her to change her mind.

Unable to hide his sadness he accepted the decision and said goodbye to Jessica, with the remote hope that, in time, she would think better of it and return to his side.

"Congratulations on your graduation, Jessi. Good luck and don't forget I love you".

"Thanks, Troy, I love you too, and come what may, I'll never forget you", she answered with tears in her eyes.

And that was it. While her other guests enthusiastically prepared to 

go in for the ceremony, Troy left, not without first telling Jessica that,he'll be waiting for her if she ever changed her mind, 

Jessica's New Love

Upon arriving to the University, at the beginning, Jessica missed Royce so much. There were moments when she thought she wouldn't resist, she even thought of leaving it all and returning to Island Paradise.

But that changed when she met Troy Francis.

From that moment on, Troy became her best friend and there was not a single day when he didn't visit her, which made Jessica forget Royce immediately.  

Ashley thought Jessica was playing with fire and adviced her to be careful.

But Jessica was so fascinated with Troy that she didn't listen to her and continued ahead with his friendship.

.Which sooner that expected turned into an open romance.

Jessica not only forgot about Royce (as her parents had wanted so much) but she started to think of ways to break up with him.

After the final exams, on her way home, she thought of a thousand ways of telling him. It wasn't going to be easy, but she had decided it, she had to do this, for Troy.

 "Think it over, Jessi. Royce doesn't deserve this, and you could be sorry later on", Ashley had told her before leaving the campus.

"You can't do this to Royce, you just can't. If you do, you won't forgive yourself", Sarah said to her before Jessica called Royce to talk with him. But Jessica had made up her mind already.
