Terence's Evil Red Glow

He glows red because he's 'The Emperor of Evil' (Level 10 of the Criminal career), the glow has a negative impact on his relationships with sims that have traits like Good, Friendly, Family-Oriented,etc. And it helps build relationships with sims that are Evil, Mean-Spirited or Insane. As for careers, it negatively impacts on sims in Law Enforcement, and positively on sims that are also in the Criminal career.

In Caterina's case, she has the Family Oriented trait (she's Over-Emotional and Hopeless Romantic too), that's probably why she and Terence can't stand each other. The Vanderburgs in general can't stand Terry for obvious reasons. Also, Terry has the Mean-Spirited trait but (amazingly enough) not the Evil trait, and he's a Kleptomaniac too! 😆 

Another night at the Vanderburg's, with David sleeping and Terry out on a business trip, Cynthia is looking for something to entertain with. She could play chess but what fun would that be without Terry? Maybe if she goes out for a moment to enjoy the starry night.

The night is beautiful but she feels lonely and misses Terry more than ever. This loneliness makes her appreciate what they had when they lived in their own house, without the Vanderburgs around.

"Grandma changed her look. Not bad. Sadly, that won't make her nicer to her employees".

Notifying the Vanderburgs

Terence and Cynthia invited the Vanderburgs to dinner to inform them about their engagement. Renauld, Catarina and Sebastian weren't amused when they found out they won't be invited to their wedding.

Terence of course doesn't give a damn what the Vanderburgs think of him.

Terence: Listen, no offense, but Cyn wants a private wedding and that's what she'll have.

Sebastian: (to himself) Yeah, well, I doubt Cynthia will stand being married with you for a long time, sucker.

Catarina: (to herself): I'll see you after the divorce, jerk!

Renauld: (to himself): Enjoy your private wedding, fortune hunter, you'll never see a penny of our money...

Wow, so many good wishes. We now can see why Cynthia wants her family far from her marriage.
