Lauri is just leaving, not knowing what is going on outside until she sees the patrol car. 

But there's no one inside the vehicle? Well, this is the chance to run away, surely the cops went to another house first, there are wild parties going on all over the campus. 

Nope, the patrol was sent right here by an anonymous call reporting to them that there was a party out of control at this address. But as soon as they learned that the host was "Sgt. Tera Lachance's son", they moved on to another dorm. The perks of having your mother in the police force! 

Before Lauri leaves the party, Dale wants to make sure she hasn't been upset about the keg incident, as he would love for her to consider taking the spare room in the dormitory.

Lauri isn't mad, on the contrary, she had a blast at Dale's party - she couldn't be mad at Carol either, if they're best friends! Oh, and of course she's interested in the vacant dorm room. But they'll talk about that at the start of next term. Dale is feeling more at ease, but his tranquility won't last long...

 Kelly has managed to get away from Mandrake and has entered the garage. She soon notices that Riley and Sarah are not talking to each other.

Sarah wants to make a keg stand and Kelly helps her, only to piss off Riley.

Meanwhile, upstairs, a problem erupted because Carol dropped Lauri, who hurt herself and complained to her. A little argument started between them; Dale was upset, he doesn't want anything to ruin the good relations between his two potential roommates.

In the end, Carol apologized and things didn't escalate, but they both thought they had already had too much to drink and decided it was time to leave the party. 

While Dale kills time drinking to keep his mind off things, the party goes on.

Carol Chen is having fun helping Lauri make a keg stand. Carol is another possible roomie for the next trimester. Dale, at least, would love to have her; Kelly, who knows, especially if she finds out he considers Carol attractive.

Speaking of Kelly, she is now downstairs, trying to get rid of Mandrake, who, God knows why he thought it was a good idea to try to flirt with her.

And Riley has gone to the garage to drink, just like Dale, to keep her worries at bay. Sarah stays close to her, probably to make sure she doesn't do anything foolish. Even if Riley doesn't believe it, Sarah still cares for her.

After her failed keg stand, Kelly introduces herself to Lauri Hayword, their potential new roomie. Dale hopes with all his heart that they'll get along.

Yes, it looks like Kelly and Lauri hit it off right away. Good for them! (It's still not a given that Lauri is the one who will keep the room but getting along with Kelly certainly increases her chances).

Since everything is in order, let the party continue!

But seriously, what could it be that Riley wanted? Hasn't she given up? 

Yeah, nobody asks Riley to sit at the table; some because they don't know her, some because they know her too well.

Here comes Lauri again. Riley is so fed up with her, and she still doesn't know that she's the one who will be taking her place at the dorm.

Everyone is enjoying their dinner, mainly because they were starving. 

Riley doesn't enjoy anything that isn't about her. Lauri on the other hand, seems to be having the time of her life.

Riley: (To herself) Ugh, I wish this loser would just go away already.

Sorry Riley, but the party's just getting started for Lori... in every possible way.

Dale's keg party is about to start, the first guests have arrived, Oscar Dillard and Mandrake Astron are stuck at the bottom of the stairs, Lori Hayword is the first to make it to the top. Sarah discreetly checked her up and down; she heard that she might be their next roomie, well she's not bad at all....

For some reason, Lori thought it was a good idea to run 'naked' with her clothes on, Sarah thought it was funny; Paul Biden didn't find this idea amusing whatsoever.

Sarah on the other hand still thinks she's great.

Sarah: (to herself) Mental note, make friends with Lori Hayword.

Meanwhile, in the dining room Kelly, Carol Chen and Liz Tarry are already settling in to enjoy the Cobbler that one of the guests brought.

Lauri: What about you? What's your story?

Dale: Me? Well, I'm a Business student and part-time bartender, my dream is to own my own bar someday, and… well, as you just heard, I have a girlfriend.


Lauri: Oh. You guys are engaged?

Dale: No, but we're steady... Is that a deal breaker?

Lauri: (Laughs) Not at all, it's just, you seem like a nice guy, I would've loved to go out with you to get to know you better.

Dale: (Goes quiet, thinks to himself): "A nice guy". If she knew...

Lauri: Well, never mind, I'm still interested in the room. I hope what I just told you is not a deal breaker either.

Dale: Honestly? It could be. My girlfriend is too jealous and I'm too friendly, I've had problems with her in the past for dating other people, so, if you don't mind, we might as well treat this as strictly business.

Lauri: That's fine with me, just send me a message when I can come see the room. 

Lauri: Can I see the room right now?

Dale: Er - I'm afraid not yet. I'm just interviewing people, getting ready for the next semester, but for now it's still busy.

Lauri: Oh, that's okay, I can wait.

Dale: In the meantime, can you tell me something about yourself? Like what your interests are, a little of your background, just to get to know you?

Lauri: Sure, my name is Lauri Hayword, I study Technology, freshman, I belong to the Nerds social group. I like art and sports, but mostly art, in fact I would like to become a Master of the Arts. I like outdoor activities and my favorite food is vegetarian lobster thermidor. I'm single - for now -, but I hope to find someone soon, I'm a bit of a nerd, I know, but I don't like being alone... Sorry, am I talking too much?

Dale: Oh, not at all, in fact, what you have said so far sounds quite interesting. 

As he arrives to his meeting, and before he can even start talking to Lauri, a call comes in from Kelly, she sounds upset.

Kelly: Dale Cho, where are you? We have to study for the exams.

Dale: I know baby, don't worry, I'll be there.

Kelly: Where exactly are you and with who?

Dale: Er- I'm with a classmate. Like I told you, she's going to slip me some notes for the exam.

Kelly: Are you sure that's it?

Dale: Yeah.

Kelly: You're not looking for roomies are you, Dale?

Dale: No, not at all.

Kelly: Okay, don't be long, I'll be waiting for you. (Hangs up).

Lauri: Your girlfriend? Was she upset?

Dale: Just nervous, we have a lot of studying to do, you know, for the finals. But don't worry, I have time. Tell me, are you interested in the spare room at my dorm?

Lauri: Yes, I saw your ad on the board. For now I live in the girls' dormitory, but it's too noisy there, I can't concentrate well when I study. Tell me, is the room for one person or shared?

Dale: Shared, with another girl, of course. Or, if you can afford both rents, you can keep it for yourself.

Lauri: Sounds cool.

Does Kelly have fortune-telling abilities? Looking for roommates is exactly what Dale went to his meeting for. The call was from a potential candidate. (He wishes it was Carol Chen, he wouldn't mind having her as a roommate, that is if she didn't already share her own room with her sister Waverly). 

But no, the potential new roomie is not Carol, (sadly) but Lauri Hayword a student of Technology and a 3 Level member of the Nerd Social Group.
