Dale is tired of all this girl fighting, plus, the exams have made him exhausted, so he finishes his dinner quickly and gets up to start picking up the dishes.

Sarah: How's it going over there? Still not talking to each other?

Dale: Nope, I doubt Kelly will ever forgive her.

Sarah: Well, it saddens me to say it, but Riley earned this.

Riley is helping with the dishes. That's unusual from her, but she sure is doing it to impress Sarah. 

Dale would like to tell her something, say goodbye without hard feelings. Unlike his brother, it's not in his nature to make enemies, but then again, if he does speak to her, Kelly isn't going to like it, better not to trigger her anger again. Surely there will be another chance to make amends with Riley before she leaves.
