“Mr. Langerak, would you answer some questions for the Del Sol Valley Sun?”
“Sorry, hun. I said no interviews”. But the reporter wouldn’t take no for an answer.
“Is it true that you’re engaged with Scarlet Martinez, the ex wife of the famous politician Steven Martinez?”
Tony thought it was better for him to answer some questions to clarify the rumours that had been going around about him, Scarlet and this “famous” politician.
After a few vodkas he caved in and told her everything she wanted to know. Dakota, the family kitten was there to witness such mistake.
The night has fallen, the reporter has left. Everything seems calm at the Langeraks house, but Tony is obviously not happy. “Jeeze, what have I done?”
“God, I hate paparazzi”
So it was true! Tony was dating Scarlet Martinez, the ex-wife of the renowned politican Steven Martinez's, son of Angela and Robert Martinez from Oasis Springs.
The news about their relationship and their probable marriage was all around the social networks. The reason for Tony's hasty decision? Well, Scarlet had recently had a daughter, Tony's daughter, of course.
Ignoring his recent, secret and failed romance with Kala, a mermaid girl from Sulani, and the fact that he also had had a daughter with her, little Kayla, Tony continue ahead planning his marriage with Scarlet.
He moved in with Scarlet to a family-size home in Del Sol Valley.
Their respective daughters, Jessica and Kimberly moved with them.
Daniel also moved in, and so did his newly born little half-sister Nancy, who is not in these pictures yet. Simon, the oldest brother had his own family already in Sulani; and Bradley, the youngest, was still a child, so he stayed with his mother, Cassandra.
Once in his new house, Tony dedicated himself solely to write.
And again, to drink.
A few days later, during a short vacation in Selvadorada, he gave Scarlet an ring and then they both exchanged vows in a private ceremony.
Which continued in Brindleton Bay. But the true wedding wouldn't take place until they had announced it to the rest of the family.
Tony knew that Simon, Daniel and Jessica wouldn't take it well, and probably neither would Kimberl, Not to mention Kala, she surely would hate him for the rest of his life.
But what difference did it make?
The only woman he really cared about was with someone else now; so let Brindleton Bay burn to the ground, and the press eat him alive, his life was already ruined anyway.
