The Tomb of Jean Necteaux - Part 2

Champs Les Sims, France, Memories from November 11, 2012 Continue:

The first thing I saw when I went through the heart-shaped keyhole door was, as always, a hidden door.

Going throught this other door I found a very long and narrow corridor.

At the end of said corridor I discovered my first treasure: The Signet of the Tomb of Jean Necteaux, and a few ancient coins.

I left through another hidden door and found a chest that contained fragments of a sarcophagus.

After collecting my loot, I went back to the door through which I had just entered

I inspected the room where I found the chest and some items on pedestals.

I examined a hole on the wall, there was a switch inside, I pulled it and...

The switch activated the mechanism of a hidden door that led to the nicely decorated room where I had been previously. There was nothing else to loot there.

So I went out, returned to the entrance and this time I did go down the stairs.

In the basement I found a very strange room. The floor was covered with switches, one after another. I supposed one of them would open the door at the front that was locked, but for that I would need to solve one of those famous floor switch riddles.

But before dealing with so many switches, I decided to go to see what was under the pile of rubble in the adjacent room.

The only thing I found was bottles of wine, one on a pedestal, another one on the floor, a third one on the shelves and one more in a chest.

Next to the shelves was another hidden door that was impossible for me to open, so I left it alone for the moment.

I returned to the room with the switches and stood on some of them, to no avail.

After a making a few phone calls, I got some useful information: the switch to which the statues are looking at was the only one that worked. I stood on it and the lock on the door broke opened. It comes in handy to have informants here and there. Now, to find out what was behind the mysterious door.

Another odd room, like everything in that tomb. And, on the floor, another switch.

As I stood on it, a voice rang out and echoed through the room.
"The lights of the blue spirit will guide you to your safety. Follow their call!"

The lights started to turn on, first some, then others; sometimes they pointed to the right, sometimes to the left, and sometimes to the front. I followed them, one by one, until I reached yet another switch.

I stood on it and that activated a lot of electricity traps.

But in a matter of seconds they were disabled. Phew! Now I could go anywhere in the room and take whatever I wanted.

After collecting the treasures, the lights changed to blue again. I knew the traps were disabled, but, just in case, I decided to follow the lights as recommended by the voice.

The blue light disappeared. At the end of the room was an exit door, but I had to walk carefully to reach it.

I didn't come across any active trap, I arrived safe and sound. When I went through the door and got to a small room, seemingly dead-end.

But there was a hidden door on one of the walls which I used to get to the other side. There I only found a gem and a bottle of nectar. Anyway, that's something.

I returned to the room with the lamps and climbed up the stairs at the bottom. I didn't know where they'd take me, but I could imagine it.
