The Tomb of Jean Necteaux - Part 1

Champs Les Sims, France,  Memories of November 7, 2012 Continue.

Like I said before, I had just discovered the entrance to the Tomb of Jean Necteaux, and I was determined to explore it immediately.

The first thing I found was a long set of stairs and, to its right, a movable statue which I pushed. Behind it, on the wall was a hole with a switch inside of it.

I activated it and a secret door appeared on the wall to the left.

Behind that door I found several things hidden in holes on the floor and a staircase that led to a fairly big room with two hallways, one to the right and another to the left.

The hallway on the left was the one I followed.

Halfway down the corridor I found a secret room, where the only valuable thing was a bottle of Cherimola Blan nectar.

  And another secret door.

In the next room I found some piles of ancient gold coins. Good!

  And... one more hidden door.

Behind it were treasures of considerable value. This was getting better and better.

I made sure there were no more secret doors, or treasures to loot and continued until I encountered two dangerous traps.

The traps prevented me from using the staircase on that side, so I used the stairs in the hallway on the right, where there were no traps.

At the top there was a balcony with a floor switch.

And at the end of it, a movable statue.

I pushed the statue, which deactivated the traps below, but another switch emerged. If I returned the statue to its place, the traps would reactivate.

After a series of moves of the statue, going up and down the stairs, activating and deactivating the traps in both sides, I was finally to deactivate all the traps. The passage way was free and I went up without worries.

So I reached the highest part of some sort of "pyramid".

The first thing I saw there was a bunch of ancient coins and a heart-shaped keystone.

Plus a water well, which I set out to explore.

At the other end the overview was tenebrous, but there were some tresures to claim.

After taking hold of the gold, I went up the stairs in front of the well.

What awaited was one of the electric traps that had reactivated when moving the statue down there. Now I'll have to go back and move it again.

I returned to the balcony on the right side and... ready! I deactivated the trap.

By that time I was exhausted, so I installed my tent on the balcony to sleep  for a while. I had never had such a long and tiring adventure. I had to replenish my energy, but it had to be quickly cause I had only a few travel days left.

The next morning I got out of my tent, ready to find out what was at the top of the stairs.

  I found a door with a heart-shaped keyhole, but I didn't have any...

Wait a second! I had seen a heart-shaped keystone on the floor below.

I retraced my steps to the lower level. There were still some treasures to pick up, so I took them one by one.

At times, vertigo forced me to stop. I had forgot that I had a phobia of heights.

And if that wasn't enough, in order to get to the key I had to deactivate a few traps, (this time they were fire traps).

 And I move some statues.

Finally I got hold of the keystone and placed it in its keyhole.

The door was open and I found myself in another room and more stairs. Excitement invaded me as I wondered: what suprises and treasures could be waiting for me down there?"
