In the Cellar of the Nectary

Champs LeSims, Francia. Noviembre 02, 2012

I thought that my mission in France had concluded, but before I could even think of returning home, a got a phone call from Jeannine Lambert, asking me to investigate something in the cellar of the Nectary.

It is a little-know fact that the Nectary in this city was built centuries ago and that the cellars underneath it date back to those times. There are a few ancient bottles there, if I had only one of those I could find out what their components were an discover a lot about the lost art of nectar making.

"Go to the cellar and find a bottle of Nectar that is at least 5000 years old. At that time they used to store them in chests, so make sure to check all the ones you find", Jeannine told me.

"Take this key, it will give you access to some of the oldest sections of the cellars. Go down the stairs behind the Nectary... I'm trying to find some of the lost secrets of nectar making - ideas that we could've missed for centuries. I hope you will make our task easier", she added.

I had the key that I needed.

While I followed Jeannine's instruction, without looking for it, I completed the Cellars of the Nectary adventure.

There were two more secret doors left to explore, but I should go to report my finding to Jeannine first.

A Cellar full of Clues
"Very intriguing. Like I said, many of those cellar are very old and almost no one ever goes down there. I'm sure that the cellars are full of secrets like the one you have found. However, I am quite interested in the one you have discovered. Please go back down there and see if you can find out any more".

"Go back to the room you just opened, Vuelve al cuarto que acabas de abrir, put your hand in each one of the three holes at the bottom of the room, then come to tell me what happened", Jeannine instructed me. But -- what? To go down there AGAIN? And what's the deal with these three holes? Whatever... Hey, wait! What did Jeannine do to herself? She looks even more attractive! That's enough, come on, Tony, focus!

 Back downstairs, in the cellars.

I opened another secret door, but all I found was a riddle that I could not decipher.

   And hours later...

"I can't help you deciper that riddle, but I have the feeling that it is important. Please, you must help me! Go to talk with con Gustave Delven. Gustave has been doing extense investigations about the history of the city and could have an idea of what it means".

"I haven't listened to a good riddle in some time, so your presence delights me. Let me think for a minute... Pharaohs, sparkles. It sounds to me what you're looking for is some kind of gems. I have a good friend in Egypt that is something like and Egyptologist amateur and could help you. My friend has been studying the insects lately. I widely suggest you to collect some local insects to bring to him. In this case I would say five Cerambyx Beetles would be useful".

 Five beetles? Ugh!

While I found the insects to collect, I went to visit my friend Noelle at the relic store. Just like Jeannine she looked more attractive than ever. I don't know what I'm gonna do surrounded by so many beautiful women. Just remember, Tony: you are married. M-A-R-R-I-E-D.
