What Happened With Simon and Holly?

What happened after Holly told Simon, shortly before graduation, that she was pregnant?

Well, Simon did what's right, he graduated with honors from the Science and Medicine career first.

Then he returned to Isla Paraiso taking Holly with him, and once there, he proposed marriage to her.

Simon and Holly got married in a small ceremony attended only by family and close friends.

Tony breath with relief and was glad that Simon finally had settled down.

Simon has stabilized after the shock of his divorce from Pania. He's the first to leave the parental home, now Daniel and Jessica are left. Bradley still leaves with his mom cause he's still underage.

Simon called his first son Anthony, in honor to his father. (Though Tony's name is just Tony, not Anthony, but Simon insisted).

Immediately after Anthony, the twins Lara and Ruby came.

Simon has had to combine work with paternity. When he's not on call he takes care of the kids while Holly works at the Science Investigation Center.

Simon has proved to be an excellent father, he's caring and protective.

Once in a while he follows the adventurous nature he gets from his father.

Sometimes he travels with him, mostly to Shang Simla, which is his favorite destination.

But from all the things in life, his favorite is to be with his Holly and their children. He wouldn't leave them for anything or anybody.

Being the father of three already, Simon has taken his career more seriously. In the beginning he dedicated himself to give medical care to the people of the community.

Today he's a full time Trauma Surgen at the Cassandra Steele Memorial Hospital of Island Paradise, known before as just "El Hospital". His father bought it and named it after Simon's mother. 

Between Two Lovers - Part 2

Simon: Are you completely sure?

Holly: I did a home test last night and it was positive. Now what I'm going to do?

Simon: You'll come with me to Island Paradise after my graduation, then we'll see what happens.

Holly: Are you serious?

Simon: Sure, we're in this together. I won't leave you alone, I promise.

“I won't leave you alone". Those words sounded great but - what about Sarah? There wasn't nowhere to run now, Simon would have to tell her the whole truth.

And he did. He told Sarah that she had been dating someone else, and that 'someone' was pregnant now. As it was to be expected, Sarah didn't take it well.

Sarah: Who is she, do I know her?

Simon: Yes, you know her well.

Sarah: It isn't Holly, is it?

Simon: Yes, it's her. I'm sorry.

Sarah: Wow, I should've known. All those nights I found her in your room 'studying'. And she said she was my friend, what a traitor!

Simon: Don't blame her, she doesn't even know we're together.

Sarah: Why didn't you tell her? So she would sleep with you?

Simon: Sarah, please understand, this isn't something I planned. It just happened.

Sarah: “It just happened". I should've known that you'd come out with something like that, after all you're your father's son.

Simon: Leave my Dad out of this.  I was a coward, I admit it, but it was never my intention to hurt you.

 Sarah: But you did! And I'll never forget you. You'll pay for this, I swear.

 

Simon:  What the hell is wrong with me? I judge my father for his behavior, but I continue to make his same mistakes: divorce, cheating, all this torn between to lovers thing... I don't want to be a carbon copy of him, I have to break the circle and do what's right.

Between two Lovers - Part 1

Simon didn't have the courage to tell the truth to Sarah and Holly, because he didn't want to hurt any of the two, so he kept both relationships going. He slept with Sarah when Holly wasn't home...

And viceversa.

the situation became more complicated as the days went by. Simon had to make a decision, but he simply couldn't, so life decided for him.

One morning, before leaving for his class, Holly announced to him that she was pregnant.

After a couple more dates, it became clear that Simon and Holly were in love. One thing led to another and the inevitable happened. Simon started a relationship with her when he was still Sarah's boyfriend, one thing Holly, of course, ignored.

  

Then a dilemma emerged for Simon: Should he confess to Sarah the truth and break up with her at once? Or should he leave things as they were and wait for her to leave him after graduation?

Sarah leaving him? It wasn't likely, since she was crazy about him, so much, that she had started to distrust Simon and Holly's 'study appointments' and to suffer from jealousy fits.

As for Holly, she and Sarah shared a room, but they rarely ever saw each other since they were in different careers. Plus, Holly was very busy with her studies, so, as absurd as it sounds, she hadn't notices that there was something happening between Sarah and Simon. Also, 

Simon and Holly's First Date - Part 3 (and Last)

Holly: No, seriously, thank you for sharing all those stories with me.

Simon: You’re welcome. I just realized that we’ve been talking about me the whole date, but I’d like to know more about you.

Holly: There isn’t much to say, my family isn’t famous and my parents are common people. Now, you’ve told me a lot about your relatives, but you haven’t said much about yourself.

Simon: ‘Cause I’m not as interesting as my parents.

Holly: That is not true. You have your mother’s charm and your father’s gallantry. Besides, you are tender, caring and generous.

Simon: Really?

Holly: Yes, and you’re attractive too, of course.

Simon: (Blushes) Thank you.

Holly: No, thank you.

 Holly coulnd’t contain herself and...

Holly: I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have done that. 

Simon: No problem, I loved it, and I have feelings for you too, it’s just I--

Holly: What?

Simon: Nothing, just-- forget it.

Simon didn’t say anything else, he forgot about his worries (namely Sarah) and kissed her back. 

Simon: (To himself) "Congratulations, Langerak, you just turned into your father. ‘A girl in every harbor’, right? Now, how are you going to get out of this?”.

Simon and Holly's First Date - Part 2

  

Holly: The Langeraks sound interesting, but what about the other side of your family?

Simon: The Steeles? Hm, they are a whole other story. See, the Langeraks have stood out in science, business, sports and Law Enforcement; and some of them have even become famous, like mi father and his sister Lilian, who is an actress, or his cousin Cornell, who is an athlete. But the Steeles are genuine stars. Grandpa Simon is a Master Acrobat. And Myriam -she doesn’t want to be called “grandma"-  is the great singer Myriam Royale. She's won many awards throughout her career, including the bestselling recording artist. 

Holly: Simon Steele and Myriam Royale, sure, I’ve read about them, they’re a super famous and talented couple.

Simon: Yeah, and my mother inherited their talent. She used to be an acrobat too, but she retired shortly after she got married to dedicate herself to her children. After the divorce she came back as a sports model and advisor. She’s been in the covers of a few magazines, she has a blog, a website, and her own physical training show on a streaming platform.

Holly: Cassandra Langerak, true, I’ve watched her channel once or twice. She’s gorgeous and a total role model for the university female athletes.

Simon: I’m so proud of her, not only she's beautiful and talented, but she’s brave as well. She went through a lot these past years, but she never gave up, and now there she is, shining on her own right, like the star she always was.

Holly: Amazing...

Simon: And she’s not the only one in her family. Her older brother, uncle Vincent, he’s a gifted sculptor; and uncle Dominic, the youngest, he’s a fabulous horserider, he has won a number of races with his favorite horse Honeypie. Plus, he’s married to Matilda Hamming, a very popular singer, who is the daughter of aunt Kamillah -my father’s other sister- and the late actor Matthew Hamming.

Holly: Wow, the Steeles are indeed a family of stars. Will I get to know them too?

Simon: Sure, if you don’t mind dealing with a bunch of divas. A piece of cake, I guess, compared to all the Langeraks’ drama. 

(They laugh together again).

Simon and Holly's First Date - Part 1

On their first date, Simon invited Holly to a bistro near the University.

Holly: So what is "Langerak", German?

Simon: Some say it is, others say it is Dutch or Norwegian, I don't know any more.

Holly: Anything to do with the famous writer and explorer?

Simon: Tony Langerak? Yep, he's my father.

Holly: (Surprised) No!

Simon: (Smiles) Yes.

Holly: Wow. And how does it feel to be the son of such a celebrity?

Simon: Well, it hasn't been easy, I mean, I admire and respect my father, but I think his fame somehow spoiled him. Too  much partying alcohol, and women. Not to mention his travels as an explorer, and adventures at the sea. You know what they say about sailors: "a love in every harbor". Those are probably the reasons why he and my mother got a divorce.

Holly: Oh, I'm sorry to hear that.

Simon:  Don't worry, the family has come out ahead. And I'm not angry at him, I mean, he's my father, I know he's not perfect and he has made mistakes like everybody. He's only human, besides, who am I to judge him?

Holly: That's very mature of you, no wonder you got married so young.

Simon: I wasn't being mature, the Langeraks marry young, you know? It runs in the family, just like marrying their employees. It's almost a tradition for them... Well, not all of them, but grandpa Milton, for example, he married his housekeeper, grandma Samantha. His son, Kurtis, my father's oldest brother, he married aunt Amber, who was his maid. And let's not forget my sister Jessica, who, according to my brother Daniel, is secretly dating Roys, the cleaning guy. Daniel himself is very fond of Gloria, Royce's assistant, who claims to be related to the Goths of Sunset Valley. 

Holly: Wow, it seems like the Langeraks take this tradition seriously.

Simon: They do!  (They laugh together)

Holly: (Suddenly blushing) I'm sorry, I shouldn't be laughing at your family.

Simon: As long as you don't laugh when you're in front of them.

Holly: You're saying you're going to introduce me to them?

Simon: Would you like that?

Holly: Are you kidding? I'd love it.

Simon: You sure?

Holly: Of course!

 Simon: Well, it's your choice, just don't say later that I didn't warn you.

Simon and Holly were in the same career and had the same schedule, so they started to go to class together. This created a bond between the two of them and a great friendship began.

While Sarah was busy with her own studies and activities, they spent time at the Library, studying, or sat down in the park, talking about their dreams and wishes. They felt so good together that soon, and as it was to be expected, their casual outings turned into actual dates.

Roomie Number 2: Holly

 

Holly Gabrielsun was a Science and Medicine Student, that is to say she was in the same career as Simon. That alone was a great start, but she had other attributes.

 

She not only was pretty, but cheerful, talkative and with a great sense of humor. She loved children, dogs, cats, plants, and she dreamed of becoming a scientist to take care of all of them along with the whole planet. Which ment she was also generous and kind hearted, like Pania. Yes, Pania. Sarah reminded him of her physically, but Holly was more like her spiritually.

He was so impressed by her conversation that he forgot to ask her if she was able to pay rent. You know, this 'little detail', but she got ahead of him.

Holly: The rent won't be a problem, I'll pay it with my scholarship. Besides, I can make meals and do everybody's laundry once a week, if it doesn't interfere with my classes, that is.

Simon: Oh, I don't think that will be necessary.

Holly: So am I in? Please say yes, my current roomie is graduating in four days, I don't want to stay at the dorms. Or is the room taken already?

Simon: No, no, it's still available. We need a thrid roomie urgently. The rent is too high for the two of us alone.

Holly: "The two of you". You mean, two boys?

Simon: No, it's me and another girl, Sarah.

Simon didn't mention that 'other girl' was his girlfriend. Another 'little detail' he overlooked, he didn't know why, he just didn't feel it was the right moment to talk about his relationship with Sarah, perhaps because they hadn't made it official and his family didn't know anything about it either.

Holly: (Oblivious to his thoughts) It sounds great!

Simon: You'll have to share the room with her.

Holly: Does that mean I'm staying?

Simon: (Taking a deep breath) Yes.

And that was how Holly became Roomie Number 2.
