When Dust was able to stop laughing, and Rob from blushing, the two returned to their conversation:
"So the Planeson's are a privileged family. Now that I didn't see coming," he pointed out.
"Don't tell Judith I told you. She hates it when I remind her about it."
"Really? You just gave me joke ammunition to tease her for a good long while, hehe."
"By the way…" Robin continued, as Dustin put his cup in the sink and went to the fridge to get a snack. "How did you and Judith meet? As far as I know you and your family never traveled that far back in time; nor did Judith ever travel to 2014."
"Ah, yes, that's a good question," Dustin replied as he pulled out a plate of crepes and headed toward the counter.
"Well," he continued sitting down, while Robin stood up to move closer. "The farthest into the future Dad took us was to year 2029. I was a teenager then…"
"Dad had a mission to accomplish, so we stayed there for a while. It turned out Judith's family had traveled to that same year, also for work. Her dad and my dad met, Judy and a friend of hers who had traveled with her enrolled in the same high school as me. That's where we met, then we became sweethearts and graduated together."
"Oh, that's right, now I remember. She came back all excited, telling me about her handsome boyfriend from the Past'', Robin teased.
"That's how she described me, as a ''boyfriend from the past'?"
"Don't forget 'handsome'."
"Oh, come on, Rob…"
"Seriously, that's what she said. And then she convinced me to go to college in 2014 with her, you and your sister Juliette".
"And that's how our timelines collided".
"Yep, the rest is history."
"A story with so many twists and turns".
"Tell me about it", Robin sighed.
