"So you're a privileged one too?"
"Nope, I'm far from it, but I have a good job, a comfortable home, which is more than an orphan boy could wish for."
"But you wish for so much more don't you? To have a family, to have the kids you want with whomever you want. That could take credits away from you with the Council, as is happening now".
"I know, but I don't care, I want to rescue Collin, get Rowan and Juliette back. And why not? Give the ocean back to Oasis Landing so they can have a better future", Robin stated.
"Recovering the sea... a task for a hero. In that case, I guess you could use some superpowers then."
"Again with that? I'm not a superhero, Dust. I'm just an ordinary guy."
"Not so ordinary, I suppose, for the overlords of genetic engineering to seek you out so eagerly. I insist there must be something extraordinary about you that has sparked their interest. Don't forget what happened the night of the explosion, your… self-healing and all that."
"Yeah, that was strange, but I doubt it's a superpower. A mutation maybe, if anything."
"A very convenient one, isn't it? To always be out and about, completely healthy and full of energy, that's what every man wants. It would suit me just fine now that I'm about to go on my honeymoon, not to mention married guys like you."
Robin found it hard not to spit out his espresso.
"From your reaction I guess a superpower does help", Dustin joked.
"Yeah, well... sometimes" Robin admitted, blushing, and struggling not to choke on his coffee.
