The Shens sat at the table to enjoy their cake, Karen put Rowan in his high chair so Juliette could eat in peace.
"Alright, Row, please sit here and behave while your mommy eats".
Rowan wasn't quite satisfied with the exile. He'd rather be in his mother's arms like he used to. But he was a big boy now and it was time to occupy his shiny and new high chair.
Thankfully, the food that his grandmother served entertained him. (Not like he was going to eat it or anything like that).
With everything under control, Dylan tried to make conversation.
"So where's Robin? Why hasn't he arrived?"
"Are you talking about 'the one who must not be named'? Logan mocked.
"Dad, Logan", Dustin grunted.
Juliette got tense. Dustin gave a quick look at her, she continued eating her cake with small quick bites.
"No, seriously, wasn't he supposed to attend the party?", Dylan insisted.
"Dad, let's leave that subject for later, okay?", Dustin asked.
"Dustin's right, Juliette has been so stressed, let's give her a break by not talking about him", Karen concluded.
"You say that because you hate Robin", Logan stated.
"Logan, please stop", Dustin muttered.
"I don't hate him. I just don't understand how he could do this to Juliette".
"He didn't do anything to her, mom", Dustin answer to the point.
"Robin is a good boy", Dylan added. "We've know him for a long time, he was Dustin's classmate at the Oasis Landing high school. Emit knows him well too, he's one of his most brilliant and noble pupils".
"Brilliant perhaps. Noble... that remains to be seen", Karen replied.
"Mom, that's enough, you're making Jul uncomfortable. You said it right, she doesn't need any more stress", Dustin intervened again.
