Tony returned to Island Paradise determined to make a permanent change in his life. He bought a new house and confined himself there for a while to write his next novel.
From time to time he chatted online with Bradley about the days he'll spend with him before his mother's wedding.
A few times he tried to talk to Cassandra, but she went offline as soon as he saw Tony was online. It was clear now that she didn't want to know anything about him, and Tony had no choice but to resign himself. It hurt, but he had to be firm in his resolve not to look for her any more.
Tamika appeared one day, looking for a reconciliation, but Tony didn't think it would be a good idea to get back with her. He was trying to forget Cassandra, and Tamika reminded him of her a lot so he rejected her.
Then he made a short trip to Champs Les Sims, to reflect about his life and what he would do with it. The idea was to seek advice from their friends there.
But what he really did was to spend most of his time drinking.
And go out with Aimeé Lefbvre, which wasn't right at all, first, cause he was married, and second, cause he was Jeannine's best friend. He knew it was wrong but it was worth every minute.
And when they said goodbye, they both promised to keep the secret of their fleeting affair forever.
Tony left Champs Les Sims promising as well not to come back unless it was to go back with Jeannine.
He returned home just in time to receive Bradley, and and he made sure they both had the time of their lives.
They not only had fun together, he also helped him with his homework. Studying wasn't really Tony's thing but he tried, and thanks to his natural wtt he was able to clarify all Bradley's doubts.
After finishing with homework, they went for a ride around the island.
They sailed, swam and snorkeled.
Then they went for lunch toegther. While they ate, Bradley did questions about what would happen when his mom married Dean. Tony didn't know, nor did he want to talk about it, his only answer was: "Don't worry, Brad. Everything's gonna be fine".
When he was left alone again, he spent the evenings in his houseboat repeating himself the same thing he had told Bradley:
"Everything's gonna be fine, everything's fine..."
Then, he went back to his normal life and to his diving quests.
And he tried to relax while he made a decision. He had only two options: either que stayed alone forever, or he went back with Jeannine, but this time oficially.
He spent long sleepless nights thinking, what could the answer be?
Jeannine. She was the answer. She has always been there for him. Now it was the time to be there for her and their son Jean. The decision was made, he would just take a little more time for himself and then he'd take the first step.
