Tony and Adaeze, a Fleeting Romance (Part 2)

The next afternoon, Adaeze arrived on time to their date. Her hairstyle and dress were different from what she always wore. Tony was blown away.

"Hi, Adaeze. Wow, you look gorgeous".
"Thanks".
"Forgive my yesterday's attitude, I was kind of arrogant".
"Well, I wasn't precisely kind so I apologize too. I had no right to complain to you about anything, since we aren't..."

Tony couldn't resist and interrupted her with a kiss, which took Adaeze by surprise.

She had waited all her life for a moment like this, and now it had come true!

So she decided to live it to the fullest. What was wrong with it? Tony was a free man now, nothing prevented her from enjoying his company.

Without thinking twice, she stayed with him that night. But the next morning, édoubts assaulted her again.
"Tell me, Tony, do you still think of Cassandra?"
"Me and Cass are over. We are divorced and she's going to get married soon".
"But you still love her, don't you?"

"Please, Ada, let's not talk about Cassandra, now, let's think only of ourselves".
Adaeze didn't touch the subject again, but she understood that Tony would never forget about his ex wife.

The romance continued, but with no strings attached. Adaeze and Tony continued to see each other daily, she visited him in the evenings at the Thyme House, and in the daytime Tony would go to see her at the Market to talk with her while she worked.

He even made some quests she entrusted to him, related to her business, like the search for the Qin Shan Hun writings, at the Dragon Cave.
"Use this key to enter the tomb and retrieve the ancient Relic, one that contains the ancient writings of Qin Shan Hu...."

Tony did what he did best: explore tombs. And of course, he found the scriptures that Adaeze was looking for.

Other thing Tony and Adaeze did together was training at the Martial Arts Academy.

It was impossible for Tony to beat Adaeze even once, since she was a total expert.

The last day of his trip, Tony asked Adaeze to move in with him, not into the Thyme House, but to Island Paradise, but she declined.
"I'm sorry, you know I love you, but you need to sort out your things, clear up your thoughts. Besides, Shang Simla is my home, here's where my family and my ancestors are, I could never leave".
Tony understood and accepted her decision.

They spent one last night together at the Thyme House, and at the break of dawn they said goodbye with a kiss.

"Your trip has been completed. Sometimes a professor see how his pupile becomes a master: this is one of those cases, Tony Langerak. I don't have anything else to teach you, come back whenever you want as a friend or a colleague".

Tony returned to Island Paradise. Alone again. But there was something he had to thank Adaeze for: she had made him forget about Cassandra, at least for the moment.
