Troy did attend the second party, Shantel didn't waste her time and started flirting with him. What would Shark think if he knew?
She didn't think Shark would care. Her thing with Troy was just a simple flirting, or that was what it seemed to be at the beginning.
Though she knew it wasn't wise to date a vampire. What if he hypnotized her and attacked her? True, Troy looked harmless, but - a vampire is a vampire after all
Kay was worried when Shantel called her to tell her she was with Troy. But in the end she chose not to think too much about it and decided to play some videogames to forget about the whole matter.
After all, Shantel was an adult already, she could take care of herself, and the party would last only a few hours.
But when it ended, Shantel had the great idea of inviting Troy to the house. In the early morning hours!
Kay could see from her hideaway that Shantel wasn't scared at all of him being a vampire. She could notice as well that none of the two were willing to waste their time.
Shantel even show him her skills as a masseuse which she learned from Antoine in Hidden Springs.
Troy looked at her in that strange manner - or so seemed to Kay.
"Shantel invited him to stay the night. But it's almost dawn! Being Troy a vampire, daylight could be catastrophic. I must do something before it's too late".
"I must go to the rescue. Not that I want to protect that scoundrel Shark's interests, I just want to prevent Shantel from getting into trouble".
"You know, Troy. It's almost dawn and it's hailing, maybe you should head home before this gets worse. The storm, I mean".
Fortunately, Kay managed to convince Troy to leave. Obviously it wasn't the hail what had spooked him, but the fact that the dawn was near. Of course Shantel didn't like the idea that her vampire boy would leave.
Troy said goodbye and left. Shantel was a bit disappointed, but she sure will thank Kay someday for what she had done for her. And so will her boyfriend Shark.
Once Troy was gone, Kay thought necessary to make things clear to her friend and roommate:
"Listen to me, Shant, cause I'll say this just once: stop bringing your dates to this dorm or you'll have to find another place to live".
"Please, Kay, calm down. I promise this won't happen again".
Kay wished with all her sould that would be the case.
