Back Home

This is how Hidden Springs welcomed and Shantel, with a heavy snow storm, but also with a fourfold rainbow.

Kay descended from the transportation at the Science Center cause it was her time to go to work. Shantel continued on her way home. From there she would depart for work a bit later in the day.

Home, sweet home.

Time to go to work, running so as not to be late. There will be time later to meet her boyfriend and roommies. Now she was a Communications graduate, a responsible and professional adult. From now on her career had to be the most important thing in her life.

Kay, Shantel and Antoine, back from work. Kay was happy cause she got a promotion, but sad at the same time cause she hadn't been able to see her dear Aaron yet.

But the moment came at last. Aaron appeared at the entrance, in front of the elevator. He was just returning from the supermarket, where he had sold the produce of his orchard. Shantel and Antoine vanished to leave him and Kay alone.

Kay and Aaron hugged each other without a word. They had spent six months apart, which wasn't that long, but for them it had felt like an eternity.

Then, the obvious: a passionate kiss which showed how much they missed each other.

"I heard you graduated with honors. Congratulations, Kay".
"Aw, thank you Aaron".
"Welcome to our home and to our life together".

Aaron's words sounded very romantic, but before he and Kay could enjoy their 'life together', Shantel first had to move in with Shark, just as she had planned to. Antoine also had to find somewhere else to live.

No problem. Like they say: Rome wasn't made in one day.  Kay and Aaron were willing to wait, a bit impatiently, mind you, but they'd wait until Shantel and Antoine would leave the apartment. Besides, there were a few issues to fix before listening to the wedding bells, like, for example, to talk with their respective parents. It would be best to do things slowly.

For now, the bills had to be paid as Shantel was still in charge of the apartment, it was her who did the payments.

Then she called Shark, and while he was on his way, she started building a snowman.

Shantel learned to make a classic snowman, but she lost interest in it when he saw the only man she really cared about arrive, which wasn't a snowman at all, but a flesh and blood guy.

At that moment, Shantel completely forgot, not only about the snowman, but about her insignificant university little affairs. Now she only had eyes for her adored Shark.

"Hi, baby. Congrats on your Graduation. I knew you would make it".
"Thanks, honey".

"It's cold here outside, don't you think?"
"Yeah, it's kind of freezing".
"What if we go inside?"
"I think it's a great idea".

But after a long passionate kiss, none of the two was cold anymore, even outside. Now Shantel could finally feel the 'the warmth of home'.
