Last day of School

Thursday 6 am. Gwyneth had to attend her practice, it was the last day of school. Fortunately, she had plenty of time to get there.

Oh, no, the toilet broke down. Anyway, repairing it she was able to improve her Handiness level to 9.

"Mom is not going to believe all the things I have learned in Uni. Maybe someday I'll be a great scientist like her, and she will collaborate in my experiments".

"She and granpa will be surprised when I tell them about the Hive Mind, the aliens and the rest. It was all so great! Sometimes I wish I could stay here forever".

7:22 am. It was still a few hours to go to practice. The next day would be the final exam and then graduation. This made her a little nervous, she needed to distract herself.

Since she had a few hours off, she opted to go for a swim. The pool at that hour was deserted, the water was cool and the place in complete quietness. How come she hadn't done this before? She'd have to go swimming more often when she returned to Hidden Springs.

It was a shame she couldn't stay longer, but her class would start soon and she had to get ready.

During the practice, she paused to harvest some licorice, it could be useful for her experiments with plants.

Then she returned to her drawing. She picked a quiet area among the flower bushes to feel more in tune with the landscape. That way it would be easier to find inspiration.

3:49 pm. School is officially over. Now all that was left was to study for the final exam.. Gwyneth decided to start immediately.

Grafting a coffee bean she improved her Science Level to 5. The scientific data are useless without detailed diagrams and ratios. Now Gwyneth was able to correlate data in any scientific facility.

Science was starting to fascinate her. Perhaps this was her true calling, not the Fine Arts? Or why not to dedicate herself to both?

Gwyneth was suiccessful with her Gene Splice Experiment and transformed the Cortado Coffee bean into a Rare Unknown Seed.

Her first scientific achievement.

"¡Hooray, I made it! This is something to celebrate"

What a better way to celebrate than going on a date with Calvin. They agreed to meet at the movies by the evening.

 

Calvin arrived on time, and this time he picked the movie: Love and Truffles. What a title! While the show started, Gwyneth told him about her experiment with the coffee bean. Although Science was not his thing, Calvin was impressed.

The movie was about to start, so they went in the cinema. Just in time, since at that exact moment it started to hail.

After the movie they went to dinner and then straight home. Their time at the University was running out. After her graduation, Gwyneth would have to return to Monte Vista; Calvin will meet her there and then they'd travel together to Hidden Springs. She wished everything would come out as planned.

For the moment, what was next was to study for the tomorrow exams. They couldn't do much more at this point, cause it was after midnight and they were a bit tired. But a little and quick study wasn't a bad thing.
