Marilyn Moves to Bridgeport

Like I mentioned before, Marilyn, the youngest of the Langerak sisters moved to Bridgeport with her boyfriend Jeffery Dean, cause she wanted to pursue the Film career.

After the first night in their new apartment at the top of a skyscrapper, Marilyn and Jeffery got ready to attend their first day of work.

Marilyn started as a Background Extra at the Plumbob Studios.

Jeffery started his career of Medicine as a potencial Donor at the Sacred Spleen Hospital.

It took both a while to adapt. Bridgeport wasn't anything like the sunny Starlight Shores. It was a huge city, it was very cold, there was a hellish traffic and, as it was midwinter, the sun rarely came out, the wind felt freezing and most of the time it was snowing like crazy. Even so, both Jeff and Marilyn went to their works with a great enthusiasm.

By the evening, when they returned home, generally they were exhausted.

But even with the tiredness of a hard day of duties, they always had time for romance. Marilyn and Jeff weren't married yet, but they were already planning their wedding, which they wanted to celebrate in Starlight Shores to invite the whole family. Sure, they'd have to advance in their careers a little more to be able to take a short vacaction.

A few days after, they moved to another apartment closer to their workplaces. But were they new neighbors noisy! It wasn't even six in the morning and the music was already blaring. It seemed like they were early birds. Or maybe they hadn't even gone to bed? One thing was certain: both Jeff and Marilyn had started to miss their 'peaceful' University nights.

But Bridgeport had also its bright side and it was the weekends, during which Marilyn and Jeff would go out at night to enjoy the discotheques, clubs and bars.

One of their favorites was the Sports Club, where they sometimes had dinner and played until the early morning.

Bit by bit, they learned to adapt to the hectic life at the port and, after a few months, they even get used to sleeping with all the noise of their partying neighbors.

Life wasn't so bad in Bridgeport for Jeff and Marilyn, their careers are going great and, when they're not too busy, they had a lot of fun, they make friends and they even visit some Marilyn's relatives who live there. That's how the life of the youngest Langerak sister is going so far.

The Chos of Hidden Springs

After returning from Uni and before initiating their professional lives, Melissa and Marilyn took some time to spend more time with their family. In the picture above, the two sisters during a family gathering with their cousins Dwayne and Jayden Casanova. And since we're telling the stories of Melissa and Marilyn, and the Cho branch of the family, here are a few pics of their other cousins, the Chos of Hidden Springs.

Tyron is the oldest. He and his brothers, Terence and Dale are the sons of William Cho, Miranda and Michelle's oldest brother.

The second of the brothers is Terence.

The two brothers posing together.

The truth, Ty and Terry have never gotten along very well.

Dale, the youngest, during his teenage years.

The Cho kids have changed a lot since their teens. Mind you, Terence is still a little devil and it is clear that he will always be the black sheep of the family.

As we can see from the pictures, since he was a boy he loved to scare the hell out of Tyron.

Later we'll see what happened with the three Cho young men. Though I have already given a brief sketch of the personalities of Tyron and Terence.

At last, the Graduation

Saturday morning at Uni. Melissa and Marilyn's report cards arrived. Those weren't the best in the world, but at least the two sisters would be able to graduate.

Melissa, together with some of her classmates, ready for the big moment.

The ceremony is over.

Graduated, at last!

The graduation ceremony ended so late that Melissa and Marilyn didn't have time to even attend their farewell party.

It's time to go home...

Upon her return to Starlight Shores, Melissa immediately started working as a Lifesaver.

In fact, she saved a life on her first day of work.

As for Marilyn, she just stayed for a while at her hometown, then she left for Bridgeport with her brand new boyfriend, Jeffery Dean to pursue the acting career.

Note: To tell the truth, I had so many problems with this save. I even had to change Melissa's hair for one of the not-so-pretty Late Night EP's hair. Neither was I able to take good pictures, not to mention I had to ´pack' the two sims and move them to an older game, in a totally new Starlight Shores save. From there, I sent them to the Universidad for the umpteenth time. Then it worked.
The 'glitches' like arriving super late to class or taking years to perform any interaction stopped. The only little problem was the graduation issue. Melissa couldn't go in the building, the action would disappear from the cue so she wasn't being able to graduate. I thought it was something with the hair, that's why I changed it. I tried several things. Anyway, all the issue could have been due to some custom content, or  maybe the save was too old, or previous to the Island Paradise EP and the latest updates. Oh, well, the important thing is that my sims returned home, this time safe and sound. And best of all: they graduated. Fortunately!

The Last Trimester

Melissa and Marilyn returned to the Uni to continue with their second trimester.

Melissa, on her way to her first day of school.

It wasn't a good day at all, and alike other times, very few students attended class, maybe because of the rain.

It had been pouring rain all morning.

The two sisters were very busy with their studies and practice.

After classes they usually went to the cafeteria to continue studying. For them, it was the hardest trimesters of their careers. To top it off, neither of them had their boyfriend around.

Melissa couldn't see Richard cause he had already graduated and gone home. It was likely they wouldn't see each other until Melissa finished the University and started the wedding preparations.

But Melissa had hope he could come visit her even if it was just once.

For Marilyn, things weren't as simple as they were for her sister. She just wouldn't see Kyle again, cause they had broken up at the beginning of the term.

Their relationship had been argument after argument, until they discovered that they weren't

Marilyn was alone again, and without much motivation to study, but even so, she worked hard to finish the trimester. Though, sometimes she couldn't help missing Kyle.

The worse was that there wasn't a chance to fix things cause Kyle, just like Richard, had graduated already and didn't live at the campus anymore.

At the end of the second trimester, Melissa and Marilyn decided not to return to Starlight Shores.

This time they decided to spend the summer at St. John's.

It was a different experience and was useful for the sister to reflect about their lives and the path each one of them would take after graduating.

Melissa's plans were very clear: she wanted to go back to Starlight Shores, get a job and married her beloved Richard. Marilyn didn't have the least idea of which would be the next thing she'd do with her life. She was still depressed about her break up with Kyle.

Melissa spent their vacaction trying to cheer her up, but she wasn't successful.

During the third trimester, the sister were much more relaxed, they attended a lot of fraternity parties and had a blast.

The problem was Marilyn continued to be depressed which sometimes made her go overboard with the 'juice' keg, a tradition of the University parties. Several times Melissa had to 'drag' her back home, literally.

And when she came to her senses, Marilyn felt even more sad.

But luckily, at the end of the trimester, Marilyn's life took a total turn when she met the love of her life: the hopeless romantic and student leader: Jeffery Dean.

The crush between the two was instantaneous! What happened with this new romance we will talk about later.

And since Marilyn was practically the whole day and night with Jeffery, this time it was Meli who spend her hours alone at home, watching TV or studying, or in long phone calls with Richard.

Or at the library.

Or doing business presentations to practice.

The last trimester was coming to an end. The final exams were around the corner, and with them the long awaited Graduation.
