Time Traveler: E182. Guess Who's Coming to Aurora Skies - Part 4

Judith burst out laughing again.

"Don't worry, Jul, they're not going to make a scene in the middle of a wedding, getting into a fistfight or something, they're both very civilized, these are guys from the future, remember? Over there no one gets into violent fights, much less over this kind of stuff."

Juliette sighed. "Yes, I know how 'civilized' they are in the future with 'this kind of stuff'... Anyway, forgive my abruptness, it'll take me a few days to digest this news."

"Okay, but don't take too long, cause Gilon is staying at the headquarters, and you might run into him one of these days."

"At the headquarters? Why, aren't there any hotels in Aurora Skies?"

"Don't worry, he'll only be there until my family arrives, then he'll be staying with them in a rental house."

"Although I must say he looks very comfy in the quarters. Dustin put him up in your old bedroom, he was delighted, I'm sure everything in there reminds him of you."
"Judith, stop it okay?
"Alright, I'm sorry, I won't mention anything about it again, I promise."
"Good, but before we drop the subject, I have one more question."
"Go ahead and ask."

"Gilon's sudden visit has nothing to do with Robin's situation, does it? He didn't come here to arrest Rob or something".

"Uh? Oh, no, Robin's situation is a matter for the Council, and the municipal police anyway. The Interstellar Police only deals with matters like aliens and that kind of thing. Unless…"

"Unless what?"

"Nothing, forget it. And don't worry, Gilon's not here to arrest anyone, he's here only on a social visit."

"O-kay," Juliette said only half relieved. "Well thank you for the information, even though it wasn't very favorable for me, I appreciate your concern.

"I know I didn't react in the best way to the news you brought but believe me it was very nice to see you and know that we are friends again."

"It was nice for me too to see you and to meet little Rowan. I wish with all my heart that everything works out for both of you."

"Thank you, Jud. Now if you'll excuse me, I must leave Row with Dad and run to the hospital; Mom and my work are waiting for me."

"Go ahead, I'm not stopping you anymore. Good luck and take care of yourself, my friend."

"You too." Juliette said, she gave Judith a hug and then each went their way.

Time Traveler: E182. Guess Who's Arrived in Aurora Skies - Part 3

"Well, Gilon's visit is a good opportunity for Robin to feel the 'competition' and fight for you. If he doesn't then you'll have to be very wise in making a decision."

"What are you talking about, what kind of decision?" Juliette asked, starting to get irritated.

"Easy, girl, don't get upset. Look, I understand that Gilon came here hoping to get you back."

"What?"

"Yes. You see, he's a nice guy, he's handsome, he has an excellent job, and it's no secret to anyone that he still loves you. I think you should seriously consider that."

"Judith…"

"No, seriously, listen: being realistic, Gil might be a good choice for you, he's very family-oriented, he'd make an excellent father for Rowan in case Robin can't - you know, get divorced".

"Judith, will you please stop talking nonsense?"

"Nonsense? Why, don't you like Gilon anymore? As I recall you used to adore him."

Juliette counted to ten before answering, Judith was being reckless again, but she couldn't deny she was right, and they had just rescued their friendship, they weren't going to fight now, much less about Gilon! So she took a deep breath before answering:

"Ok, yes, it's true, I really liked Gillon, he was my first… love, and there was a great chemistry between us, but I can't go back to him, it's Robin I love now, don't you get it?"

"I totally get it, buddy, I'm just saying that Gilon is a good guy, and he still has feelings for you, so I think, if all goes wrong with Robin, you should give him a chance. Don't you agree?"

"I don't know, it never occurred to me to consider that possibility. All I know is that it's going to be really awkward being at that wedding with both Robin and Gilon there."

Time Traveler: E182. Guess Who's Arrived in Aurora Skies - Part 2

"Well, first of all, to see him again… Gilon has changed since you last saw him, Jul. He's no longer the awkward, goofy teenager he used to be. He's a full-fledged Interstellar Police commander now."

"Interstellar Police? I thought he wanted to join the military."

"He still wants that, but he thought joining the police would give him experience."

"I see."

 

"Ah, actually, he looks gorgeous in a uniform."

"Judith…"

"Oops, sorry. Although I guess you're not interested in him anymore, are you?"

"Of course I'm not, and I suppose it's my brother Dustin who interests you."

"Sure, but there's nothing wrong with appreciating a handsome man like Gilon."

"Jud…" Juliette admonished a second time.

"All right, all right," Judith backed off.

"And since we're talking about Dustin..."  She continued. "Another thing you should know is he's already warned Robin that Gil will be attending our wedding ceremony and party."

"And Robin - how did he take it?"

"Not very well apparently."

"But in the end, he resigned himself and promised Dustin that he would sort things out with his wife before the wedding. Apparently Gilon attendance will be an incentive for Rob to try harder. That's good for you, isn't it?"

"I don't know what's good about my two ex-boyfriends running into each other at my brother's wedding."

Time Traveler: E182. Guess Who's Arrived in Aurora Skies Part 1

The "other topic" Judith wanted to talk about was none other than Gilon Mannin, Juliette's ex-boyfriend, who had apparently arrived in Aurora Skies earlier than expected to attend Judith and Dustin's wedding. The news certainly took Juliette by surprise, leaving her stunned for a few seconds, blinking in disbelief at the revelation.

"Gilon is here for the wedding? But how, why, who… invited him?" She asked.

Judith blushed. 

"Well, I did. So it was urgent for me to tell you because I didn't want you to be caught off guard."

"But I was, because Gilon's here now and I'm just finding out!"

"Yeah, well, I was going to tell you yesterday, but you weren't able to come, and I didn't want to tell you over the phone."

"Also, Gil was supposed to arrive until the very day of the wedding, but it seems he anticipated his trip. I didn't expect him so soon, he didn't give me any notice, he just showed up at the time portal last night and that's it."

"And that's it? But - Dust knew he was coming?"

"He knew Gilon was coming, but he didn't think he'd be here this early, he was taken by surprise too. And before you get mad at him, he wanted you to know as soon as possible, that's why his hurry for you and me to meet today."

"God, I can't believe it, you guys should have told me sooner!" Juliette growled.

"I'm sorry, Jul, I swear we didn't know he will arrive so suddenly and without telling us."

"And may I ask why you invited him in the first place?"

"I had no choice; Gil is one of my best friends."

"I know, but he's also my ex-boyfriend… EX, get it?"

"I'm sorry, I know it must be awkward for you, but you better get ready."

"Get ready? For what?"

The Shens of Oasis Landing

I found some pics of the Shen family from my 2015 saved games and I thought I would share them with those who may still follow this blog or my Simblr. Of course I still keep this family, which is still in my game along with all the other families I've created since 2013.
