What Happened With the Remingtons?

Since we've been remembering Sandy Kamel from Sunlit Tides, we will now go with her first cousin, Farah Kamel. Farah is the daughter of Anwar Kamel, who in turn is the brother of Amin Kamel, Sandy's father. We have already told her adventures at the University, and we also know she married Robert Remington, an aspiring singer from Monte Vista, where she used to live. Robert and Farah got married there when she finished the University. Their two first children Richard and Shane were born there too. The third, Kayla, was born in Sunlit Tides, where the whole family lived for a while.
Shortly after Kayla's birth, the Remingtons moved to Hidden Springs, where Farah and Robert's careers flourished, their kids grew up, started to go out and to interact with the world in a very enthusiastical manner, I must add.
A few months before the moving, still in Sunlit Tides, Richard turned into a young adult and had gotten into some trouble due to his fleeting romance with Helen Hoffman.
The precocious Richard insisted in getting married or, at the very least, bringing Helen to live with him. Fortunately, his parents convinced him to go to the University first. The moving to Hidden Springs, was what saved them from this situation, cause Richard and Helen's relationship didn't survive the distance. Farah and Robert were relieved! Richie still hasn't enrolled in the University, but maybe soon he will.
Shane became a teen shortly after their arrival to Hidden Springs, he has never got in trouble cause he's a very quiet young man, who likes to be at home, read, write and stuff like that.
Kayla on the other hand, she's too restless and, being the typical celebrity child, she likes nightlife, parties, socializing and having a blast until the late hours of the night. All this has been a real headache for her parents, but perhaps the University makes her change her habits, IF Kayla ever decides to go to Uni.
In addition to being the full time mother, the guide, the advisor, and the protector of her children, Farah, as we already know, is a famous writer. She has written lots of novels, all of them hits, and she keeps on writing on her free time.
She's not the young university girl anymore, but her inspiration and her love for art never abandoned her.
Robert also continued to reap successes. Since his Monte Vista times he worked hard to get to the top.
And now he enjoys the sweetness of triumph.
He lives happily with his family in a luxurious mansion and travels in a limo on a daily basis. Although almost all the time he's on tour, he tries to enjoy his days in Hidden Springs to the maximum. The life of a singer is hard, and requires a lot of sacrifice, but for Robert every minute of it has been worth it.
Farah is happy to have returned to Hidden Springs. Her dream of being a great writer was fullfilled, she's married to a celebrity, and now she lives close to her parents Anwar and Noelle too. She and her family have it all: fame, money and, above all, love. The only thing that worries Farah is the future of Richard, Shane and Kayla. She doesn't know if they'll choose the path of University and studies, or if they will prefer to continue living like spoiled kids, at the expense of their parents' money. Farah sincerely hopes that's not the case.

Farah Says Goodbye to Uni
At the Sorority, nobody slept on the finals eve.
Farah and her classmates spent the night studying.
In the morning, almost without having slept, Farah headed for the Faculty to take her exams.
In the first one she did wonderfully, and she even had time to study a bit for the next one.
The hour came for the second exam. The last of this trimester and then she'd go home.
"It's so refreshing to have a student who really cares about learning, Fara. Keep up the good work". Professor Noetal told her at the end of the exam. Farah felt excited and sad at the same time. She was going to miss the University, the classes and her dorm mates.
The last Rebel dorm's party wasn't as long and fun as the other ones, mainly because many had already left, Harold among them. She wished they could have said one last goodbye to each other before Graduation.
This is the Sorority dorm where Farah spent two long trimesters.

Early in the morning, Farah's report card arrived. She nervously took a peek at it while she did her laundry. It seems like she earned enough credits to obtain her degree!
She spent her last hours at the dorm painting.
And saying goodbye to her friends. Samantha Gray, the werewolf girl asked her to sign her latest book, Two Thousand Glorious Moons. And Sharon, the plant-girl gifted her with some herbs. Farah felt honored, she's really going to miss them all.
That same afternoon the graduation ceremony took place. Farah arrived early but the ceremony took a long time to start. The wait wasn't very pleasant. The entrance to the stadium was crammed and to top it off, it started to rain...
Fortunately, Robert came to meet her. Farah's afternoon was brightened up as she saw him among the guests.
Her cousin Alexandra, with whom she got along wonderfully since she was a child, was also there.
As if the rain wasn't enough, later it started to hail aand the line was not moving very fast.
"What's wrong with this guys? Is no one in a hurry to graduate?"
Well, at last the ceremony ended. The wait was longer than the Graduation itself, and there wasn't time left to attend the farewell party. Farah would have to leave without saying goodbye to her friends. It was a good thing Robert was now with her.
Time to go back to Monte Vista.
"Goodbye, guys. Goodbye to my dear Uni".
The girls from the dorm said goodbye to Farah so movingly that they almost made her cry.
She may never return, but it was unforgettable.

Farah might miss the University, but Robert missed her! Right now he was happy to have her back home, and so he showed to her.
Farah, in turn, is happy to be able to rest and sleep for a whole night long. She doesn't have to wake up early to attend classes anymore, but he still has a taste for a hot cup of coffee. A little addiction, souvenir from College.

A Very Special Present
Two days before the final exam and Farah was still attending parties every night. Midweek there was a a bonfire party at the Fraternity dorm.
The party lasted until dawn and in the end Farah ran home, hoping to be able to sleep at least for one hour.
The term was about to finish and she hadn't studied much. She hadn't make progress with her novel either, or finished Harold's portrait. So that morning she promised herself: not one more fraternity party
The alarm clock rang almost immediately. If she wanted to arrive early she had to eat breakfast in a hurry. She hadn't slept more than half an hour.
Even the herbs she added to her pancakes were enough to take away her sleepiness.
What helped her to wake up was the downpour that started to fall as she got out of the dorm.
She was late for class again. To run!
That they the weather was awful. Heavy rain, lighting, thunder and strong winds. Farah almost felt happy to be inside the classroom, though, frankly, she slept practically the whole two hours of class.
On exit, she had to give autographs on Robert's name again.
"Oh, thank you so much, Farah! Roberto Rayo is my favorite singer!"
"Yeah well, here's your autograph. I'm going to get a coffee".
"A double frothiccino with caramel and chocolate chips, please".
Once in a while you gotta try something new.
In the afternoon the rain continued at Uni. Fall was just starting while the trimester was coming to an
In the evening there will be a party at Harold's fraternity, but Farah would keep her promise. There would be enough time to celebrate in style when the classes ended.
For now, she would stay at home to finish Harold's portrait. It would be a perfect farewell gift.
Ready. The portrait is finished. Farah had spent almost the whole night painting, and she would be ablet o sleep only a few hours before going to class.
She didn't sleep much, barely three hours, but that was enough to recover. Besides, a new idea for her new novel has just ocurred to her and she wanted to start writing.
In the evening she attended the Harold's fraternity gathering, but only to give him the portrait.
"Here you are, Harold, mi farewell present".
"Aw, thank you so much, Farah, how nice of you".
Farah was going to miss Harold. Now he was his best friend, if not the only one. She was so fond of him that it was iba a extrañar a Harold. Ahora era su mejor amigo, por no decir el único. she felt so much affection for him that she would probably have fallen in love with him if she was not married.
A photo to remember...
"Oh, shoot, I can't see anything!"
"I'm sorry, Harold".
"Don't worry, Farah. I'm fine. Thanks for being my best friend".
This time was goodbye. It was truly a shame. They would've make a perfect couple, but that wouldn't be for two reasons. First, like I said before, Farah was married. And second, Harold was, well - a fairy? Or elf, or goblin, whatever you call it. Maybe that was why he was so special. One thing for sure, he would always be her best friend.
