The Rebel Son - Part 2

Dahlia had no idea how far Omar and Francesca's romance had gone. Apparently it was just an innocent friendship.

But Omar tried to go further.

Francesca got angry and they had a fight. 

Francesca forgave him and continued to be his friend, but nothing was ever the same between them.

Dahlia got a call from her aunt Lillian, Francesca's mother, to tell her what had happened. Needless to say Dahlia got very angry.

"Omar, what's wrong with you? I thought I told you not to go out with any of the Bling girls!"

"Woah, take it easy mom, okay? Nothing really happened."

"Nothing? Lillian told me you tried to kiss Francesca!"

"Yeah, my bad, but I already apologized to her and promised it won't happen again". 

"I really hope so, young man".

"Lil Bling is very famous and knows a lot of important people here in Bridgeport. I don't want to have problems with him. He could ruin my career".

"Don't worry, mom, I've understood and I won't see Francesca anymore".

"Thank you, dear. I'm sorry. I know soon you'll find the right girl, one you can date without problems".

That was what Dahlia thought then, but Omar wouldn't have time to meet another girl in Bridgeport, 'cause with Dahlia's next job promotion, the whole Hamming-Steele family had to move out to Monte Vista.

So goodbye, Bridgeport!

Just in time 'cause it had recently been Mandy's birthday.

Now she was a teen too, but at least in Monte Vista she would be safe from all the dangers of the city.

Despite growing up and being already in High School, Mandy continued to keep the best relationship with Elijah, who in a couple of years would become a teen as well. Watch out Monte Vista!

The Rebel Son - Part 1

It hasn't been easy for Dahlia to be a stay at home mom and a professional musician at the same time.

A lot of things can go wrong, but she never gives up.

Luckily, her two youngest children are well behaved, they're doing great at school...

And despite of being half-siblings they get along so well.

Dahlia has only one worry: her oldest son, Omar. 

He has grown up to become a rebellious teenager.

The worst part is that, against Dahlia's orders, he had been dating Francesca Bling. (Yeah, Whitney's sister).

Remembering Dahlia Hamming

(More of my sims memories from 2014). 

Let's fly quickly to Bridgeport with Dahlia Hamming-Steele, daughter of Kamilla Langerak and Matthew Hamming, and Vincent Steele's ex wife. Dahlia has gotten very high up in the Music Career. During those days she became a Conductor.

Omar is Dahlia's oldest son, not long ago he turned into a teen. Omar is very succesful with girls, especially with the Bling sisters. 

He dated Whitney first. Dahlia was worried that they were related, but as the Langerak's family tree is a mess, she wasn't sure if Omar and Whitney were relatives or not.

It seems that, tecnically, Dahlia and Whitney are cousins. How could this be? Well, turns out Dahlia's mother and Whitney's are sisters, so Whitney is Omar's aunt?? Nop, this relationship can't be. Sorry, Omar.

Mandy, Dahlia's second child.

Mandy and Omar are the children of Dahlia´s ex husband, Vincent. Elijah is the fruit of her fleeting romance with Dean Goth, with whom, unfortunately, she never got married. Today Dahlia is still single and living with her children in Monte Vista.

It's Elijah's birthday! Time flew and Elijah is no longer a baby. 

He will start school soon. Sadly, he's never had any communication with his father, Dean. 

Young Sims From Monte Vista

Introducing some of my Monte Vista young sims. This is Mandy Steele, the daughter of Dahlia Hamming and Vincent Steele.

Mandy has a brother, Omar Steele, (back), and a half-brother, Elijah Goth (front), son of Dahlia and Dean Goth.

And this is Serena Hamming, Kamillah Langerak's daughter, she's Dahlia's sister, therefore Mandy's aunt.

Paolo Ferrari is Serena's half brother, son of Kamillah and Gino Ferrari,  therefore he's (half) uncle of Dahlia's children too. 

Dean and Dahlia: a Bittersweet Love Story

This post contains what happened Dean Goth after he graduated from the University, and the first girlfriend he had in Bridgeport: Dahlia Hamming.

Not that Dean liked to get in trouble, but he had always been a womanizer. In Uni he had a few girlfriends: Nicole, Mika, Asala; without counting the two girls he had in Hidden Springs: Michelle Cho and Shantel Langerak. His time at the University and his break-up with Michelle didn't change him.

Upon arrival to Bridgeport he fell in love again, this time kind of hopelessly, with Dahlia Hamming, the young orchestra director, daughter of the late actor Matthew Hamming and Kamillah Langerak, who, by the way is Dean's cousin, which means Dahlia, for a change, was Dean's niece (just like Shantel), but that didn't matter to any of the two, and they immediately moved in together. 

(Note: the game doesn't tag them as relatives, so I let them be).

Just as Dean has a love track record, so does Dahlia. She had been in love just once... with the wrong man: Vincent Steele, who she married when she was just a teen. 

From that marriage two children were born: Omar and Mandy.

After her divorce, Dahlia left Hidden Springs taking the two kids with her to Bridgeport.

 

When Dahlia and Dean met, he moved into her apartment and almost immediately he kind of became a  father to her children. Omar didn't accept him in the beginning, since he still missed his biological father, but with time they became good friends. But still, Omar missed the sunny and cool Hidden Springs, with its clean and quiet streets, so different from the dark, cold and overcrowded streets of Bridgeport. Of course, he missed his cousins and friends too.

 

For quite a while, everything seemed to go smoothly for the little happy family that Dahlia, Dean, Omar and Mandy formed. 

Dahlia had even thought about a second marriage. But Dean was not only not thinking the same thing, he was also hiding a secret: he had been dating another woman behind Dahlia's back.  

  

That woman was Tiara Angelista, an actress he had met at one of the many parties he attended with his musician friends. Dean thought Dahlia would never find out, cause Tiara would be just a fleeting affair. But it wasn't, cause one day Tiara confessed to him that she was pregnant. 

So Dean and Tiara had a baby, but Dean didn't dare to tell Dahlia and continued to live with her at the house they had bought together. When Dean met his son, he couldn't cope with the guilt and, without delay, he confessed everything to Dahlia including his intention to marry Tiara, which he considered his duty. As it was to be expected, Dahlia got angry and threw him out of the house, although she was still madly in love with him. Dean had been the love of his life, he loved him even more than her ex husband Vincent. It would be hard for her to recover from this.

 

 After Dean left, little Omar asked a lot of questions, Dahlia told him that Dean had another family now, and he had to take care of them. Omar was too young at that time to understand so, not without sadness, he accepted her mother's explanation. Mandy didn't even noticed Dean's abscense; Dahlia, of course, was devastated.

Dean, for his part, felt lost without her. He had been so happy living next to her! But there wasn't anything he could do, he had to honor the Goth surname and fullfill his duty as a father. On the other hand, even when it was hard for him to admit it, he felt highly attracted by Tiara, and felt he loved her just as much as he still loved Dahlia. A whole confusion of feelings. Typical Dean.

 

Dean and Tiara got married right away, in a quick and private ceremony.

 

Everything seemed sorted out...

Unfortunately, a few days into the marriage, Dean learned that Dahlia was also expecting a child, but there was nothing he could do about it.

 

 

  That was how Dean became the father of two children, almost at the same time. Jared, Tiara Angelista's son-... 

 

  

And Elijah, Dahlia Hamming's son, who he went to meet shortly after, was fascinated by Elijah's resemblance to him and the Goth family. Unfortunately, he could not have him with him, and was content with visiting him from time to time, as well as Omar and Mandy.

 

  Dahlia had forgiven him, they'd continue to be friends, but that was it. Dean went ahead with his marriage, which in those days seemed to be going swimmingly. Dahlia, in contrast, would have to start a new life alone with her three kids. But she wasn't afraid cause, since her divorce from Vincent, she had become a very independet woman, despite being just at the beginning of his young adulthood.

Also, the city of Bridgeport was her home. She, her father and her youngest son had been born there, so that's where she would stay, if possible forever. Sure, she didn't lose hope that someday Dean would come back and stay by her side...
