"Listen, mom, Robin and I love each other. I know he's not in the best situation right now, but he's fighting for us to get back together, and I definitely support him. It's not going to be easy, but I know we can make it, so I'm begging you, please, let me handle this on my own."
"What exactly do you mean?"
"I mean Robin and I should go alone to register Rowan. See, Rob is trying to be responsible for his actions here. Don't you think it would be embarrassing if you were there watching us like we were teens, while we register our own child? Please, mom, let us do this by ourselves, okay?"
"All right, all right", Karen replied. "Calm down, dear, I didn't mean to upset you. I was young too, you know? I know exactly how you feel. Of course I'll trust you, and if Robin really wants to fix what he messed up, well…"
"To be perfectly honest, it was me who messed it up, Robin just tried to move on with his life."
"He could have fought harder for you… but that's okay, I understand, and I'm going to leave you two alone, hoping with all my heart that everything will be for the best."
"Thank you, Mom, I assure you I won't let you or Dad down."
"I know, dear" Karen smiled. "You don't owe us any explanation on how you want to live your life, you're and adult after all. Just be very careful, you already have one child, you won't want to have two."
"Mom! That's not what I…"
"Yes, that probably wasn't what you were talking about, but I had to warn you anyway, just in case. Now let's get inside or we'll get a penalty for being late".
"Okay, will you call me as soon as you get the results of the analysis?"
"Of course I will. Everything's gonna be fine, I'm sure."
"I really hope so."
"It will, now let's go before the supervisor comes by."
