"Oh, by the way, do you have a date for Rowan's registration yet?" Robin asked, once downstairs.
"Yes, we'll meet Saturday at noon, at City Hall. I warn you, my mom will be going with us, just like she promised."
"Oh -".
"So, your mother still doesn't trust me", Robin said, already at the door.
"I don't know how you can ask that, after what happened a while ago," Juliette replied.
"I got carried away, it's true, but I didn't...."
"It's not a reproach, I got carried away too. It's just, try to understand my mom, she's trying to protect me." Robin heaved a sigh.
"I understand, I'll see you guys on Saturday. Give Row a kiss for me and take care of yourself, dear."
"You too, love," Juliette answered on impulse.
367. As soon as Robin walked out, Juliette closed the door and let out a sigh.
"Love? Did I really call him that? But what was I thinking, did I go crazy?" She muttered to herself.
379. "This time I really was close. I don't know how much longer I can resist his lips so close to mine, and that look..."
Juliette's thoughts were interrupted by the ringing of the phone on the coffee table in the living room.
