They’re pulling up to campus, still a few minutes before Kelly’s class starts. Dale hopes that as they get out of the car she will drop the subject.
But Kelly doesn’t let it go, and once outside the car, she continues the interrogation not caring that the snowfall is getting heavier.
Kelly: If that’s really what you were going to say, why didn’t you just say it last night?
Dale: I don’t know, I was tired, I didn’t want to keep talking.
Kelly: But, you’re more rested now, aren’t you? We can talk about it then.
Dale: Kel, don’t push it, okay? Listen, Terry saved me from going to that party with Riley, you should be celebrating with me, not asking me about something I was going to say, but didn’t say and don’t even remember anymore!
