Dale couldn’t concentrate on his studies. Besides, what was he going to study? The term hasn’t even started yet. He’d better start clearing the table and putting away the leftovers from dinner.

As he cleans up, he wonders if Kelly is asleep yet. And if she is awake, what will she be thinking? Will she be upset or sad about the things he said to her? Was he too hard on her?

“I’m sorry, Kel, but I just couldn’t take it anymore, I had to tell you how I felt.”

“Although there are things I shouldn’t have mentioned to you, secrets I must keep, because they don’t belong to me. I hope you’ll forget, and never ask me about that again, I wouldn’t know what to answer.”

Time to call Terence. Dale has decided not to accept Riley’s invitation in order not to upset Kelly, but he still wants to hear his brother’s opinion. “Kel and I have fought before, but not like that. I can’t let it happen again.

"She should be asleep by now, but tomorrow I’ll apologize to her, tell her she has nothing to worry about, I’m not going to that event with Riley.

"Yeah, rest easy, baby, I will never betray you again.”
