Robin's voice startled her in such a way that the holo-computer almost fell from her hand. With a swift movement Kaleigh caught it, left it on the table and turned around.
Robin was there, next to the Tube Elevator, already in his pijamas and looking at her as if he had caught her doing something illegal.
"What are you doing at the computer at this hour. It's almost dawn. Shouldn't you be sleeping?", he told her.
"I-- was a bit stressed and I thought that playing a bit would relax me, so-- Forget it, I'm going to bed", Kaleigh answered, taking her computer off the table".
And without further word, she hurried towards the elevator and quickly went up to her room.
"Sleep well, Kaleigh", Robin muttered, as he looked at the place where her holo-computer had been and which she, obviously, had taken with her.
He didn't believe for a moment that she was playing. What was she doing then? Calling her fiance? Chatting with friends? ...Or informing the Council? He hoped it wasn't the latter. Anyway, he'd have to be more on guard.
