Shantel is Brandon Langerak's half sister, she's Kurtis and Amber only daughter. She currently lives in Twinbrook with her husband Shark Racket, they had two children: Charles (teen) and Yvette (toddler).
Shark is practically an elder, he's almost the double Shantel's age but she loves him with all her heart. They're both in the Journalism career. Shark was once married to Shantel's aunt Mona Kamel and had a daughter with her, Sharon, who is actually older than Shantel, lol.
