"So? What do you say, should I call Rob and cancel everything or will you talk to him once and for all?"
"For goodness sake, Dust, stop pushing me, I need to think", Juliette answered, tiredly.
"I don't mean to push you, what's more you're right, I should've asked you first, so you tell me what I have to do now".
"Don't do anything".
"Meaning?"
"Meaning yes, I'll talk to Robin. Just don't expect me to be kind to him".
"Why not? After all it was you who caused this mess in the first place".
"Dust..."
"It's the truth, Jul, admit it".
"None of you two would be going through this agony if you had told him the truth from the beginning, you'd be together now and Row would have his father with him".
"Dust, please. Stop guilt-tripping me, okay? I do admit it was my fault, and I just told you I'll talk to him. I'll listen to what he has to say, although I think it won't do any good".
"We'll see about that".
The doorbell rang at that moment.
Juliette turned to the living room with distress.
"I-is that him?"
"I don't think so. He said he would sneak out any moment after supper. It's still early for that".
"Are you sure? I need a little more time to prepare myself mentally, and I have to alert our parents too".
"Don't worry, they already know".
"Good heavens, Dustin".
"Relax, Dad took it very well. As for Mom... well, you already know how she feels about all this. Anyway, that must be them. You tend to Rowan, I'll get the door".
