"Starlight Shores, Here I Go"

The night of Bradley's move, Tony called Starlight Shores and spoke to his former mother-in-law,

famous singing star Myriam Royale, to find out if Cassandra was really there and how she was doing.

Despite the circumstances, Myriam was kind and reassuring.

"Tony, I'm glad you called, Cassandra is fine, just a little depressed".

"I wish you could come and see her, talking to you would do her good. Simon and I would be very grateful to you. You know that, despite everything, you are family and will always be welcome in this house."

Myriam's words were a relief for Tony, he had always thought that his former in-laws held a grudge, but now he knew better, that was enough to encourage him to make the trip.

"Thank you, Myriam, I'll be on my way there tomorrow, and - sorry for calling at this hour."

"No problem at all, dear, we'll be waiting for you."

That had been easy, now came the hard part: telling Jeannine what he was about to do.

But first to have dinner, since he had been the only one who had not been able to do so before.

Then he helped Bradley get settled in the boys' room. They would figure out later how to fit him somewhere with more space. (Sorry about the buy/build pic, lol).

When he went up to the bedroom, Jeannine was waiting up for him, she also wanted to talk, but Tony went ahead of her and told her about his trip.

"To Starlight Shores? Why?

"Cause Cassandra is in trouble, and she's depressed".

"But you're not her husband anymore."

"But she's the mother of my children." 

"I get that, but do you have to go all the way there? Can't you just call her?

"Jeannine, I'm not going away forever. It'll only be a day or two. As soon as I know she's okay, and I know what we're going to do about Brad, I'll be back, I promise."

"And what if while you're there you realize you still love her and decide to stay with her?"

"Jeannie, listen. I married you, it wasn't a game, my dear, I made my decision and I'll stay with you, no matter what."

"Do you mean it? You won't want to ask me for a divorce after you see her again?"

"Of course I won't. I told you, I'll just see that everything's all right and I'll be right back."

"What about what I asked you, about going to live at Champs Les Sims?"

"We'll talk about that when I get back, now stop worrying and go to sleep okay?

Tony gave her a kiss, and that was enough to convince her that everything would be all right.

Jeannine went to sleep peacefully. Tony stayed awake for a while, aware of what he had promised her. He knew he shouldn't fail, but he also knew he still had feelings for Cassandra. What he didn't know was how she would feel after what had happened. He didn't even know if she would want to see him or talk to him. The point was that tomorrow, he would return to Starlight Shores after so many years...
