What a surprise were in for when Cassandra notified them that she and Don Lothario had married in secret. (Look at Alexander's face).
Gunther didn't have any other choice but to receive them in his house, since, for the time being, Don didn't have a job. Shortly after, their first son, Dean, was born. Gunther knew that marriage wouldn't last, so it was better to have Cassandra and his grandchild near to protect them when she would regret that nonsense. Or when Don moved to his next conquest.
