Like I already said, Sandy took her aptitude test.
The test wasn't any easy, but Sandy was well prepared.
When she finished, she had qualified for three careers: Technology, Fine Arts and Business.
"I'll definitely follow the Business career. It seems to be the most interesting".
At the doors of the Sorority which would be her home for two trimesters. Her father decided that she should live in a girls only dorm to 'avoid problems'.
"Dad is always so overprotective".
Other girls had started to arrive. It was time to pick a bedroom. Her cousin Farah had recommended the one she had occupied the previous trimester.
But Sandy preferred one overlooking the garden. She'd just have to do a change of furniture. Fortunately, her mother had sent a moving van with hers. Right now she had to go downstairs to tell them where they should put it.
From Sandy's bedroom window you could see the swimming pool. What a desire to swim right now! But in a few minutes she had to leave for the Meet & Greet.
After the furniture were brought up, the bedroom started to look much better.
The car her father had gifted her for her birthday also arrived. Nothing flashy, she had asked for, and in gray, her favorite color.
The girls of the sorority turned out to be very nice. She would surely become good friends with them, but none like her BFF's from Hidden Springs. Sandy already missed Kay, Jessie, Alexandra and, naturally, her cousin Farah. She didn't know when will she see them again.
Once at the Meet & Greet, she gave a speech in order to find out how her parents felt when they stepped onto the podium. The truth, you could feel a lot of stress.
But when she heard the applause of the audience, everything changed.
"Dad is right, this can become addictive".
A girl asked her if she was the same Sandy Kamel who had been in the "Hello" magazine with her father, the mayor of Hidden Springs, and she asked for an autograph. Apparently, her father's fame preceded him.
"I don't know if it's okay to say this, but I wish mom never gets to be President cause I would never walk down the street in peace again.
That same afternoon she met Jacob, a very handsome vampire; and Jeffery Dean, the famous partying partner of her cousin Dean Goth.
A snack before leaving the meeting.
She was late because she was snooping around the meeting and missed the fraternity party.Well, Sandy wasn't that sociable anyway.
Back in the dorm, she's very sleepy.
It was the first night she would sleep far from home.
To tell the truth, she was kind of scared. Maybe she should've picked a shared bedroom, that way she wouldn't have to sleep alone. Okay, later she would see if it was necessary to move out. For now she would sleep with the lights on, for tonight.at least.
Thinking of how much she missed her mom and dad, Simon and everybody in Hidden Springs, she finally fell asleep.
And that's how her first day at the University went.
"A face immortalized in a picture, is a moment captured for ever".
