We're back in Hidden Springs to resume with the Goths story. Around those days Gwyneth Huan had just gotten married, her cousin Billy was just a teen, but soon, just like his older siblings, he would reach the young adult age.
Although Billy used to dress like a rebel, he is a really peaceful boy and very sociable. He is as well brave and even a bit of a daredevil. His parents wanted him to attend College, but he dreamed of becoming a famous magician. Sure for that he'd have to move to Starlight Shores, the city where celebrities are made.
For now, becoming a magician is just a dream and Billy still enjoyed his peaceful teenager life and his student days at the Hidden Springs High School.
The fourth and last son of John and Aimee Goth is Jasper, who is the youngest of the Goth siblings. He's always been the most quiet of the three brothers. Today he's a young adult already, he works as a firefighter and aspires to be a hero someday. But just as his father, he's interested in everything related to Science.
But let's leave the kids aside to see what happened with their older brother, Dean, who had move to Bridgeport to follow the Music career, but recently he had traveled to Hidden Springs to attend his cousin Gwyneth's wedding and, in passing, take care of an issue he had pending.
This ´pending' issue was to talk to his ex girlfriend Shantel, to see if they could rescue their old relationship, now that he had broken up with Michelle. To tell the truth, Dean was still in love with Shantel and had hope that she would accept to move to Bridgeport with him.
So he went to see her to her new apartment, while he wondered how could Shantel get a house of her own and in such an exlusive area of their hometown, when she was hardly a beginner at her job. He had heard rumors about an alleged Shantel's relationship with a famous politician, namely the mayor of Hidden Springs, who, in addition, was their uncle (Amin), something Dean refused to believe.
Shantel was very nice with him, but a bit cold. The conversation went the same way as last time.. Too many questions from Dean, and very few answers from Shantel. In the end, the result was also the same: Shantel no longer wanted anything with Dean.
She insisted that they could never be, and she was somehow right. First off, because of the old feud between her granfather Milton and John Goth -Dean's father, caused by Aimee, -Dean's mother-, who had been Milton's girlfriend. Though that relationship hand ended in a friendly way, Milton was not pleased that Aimee had married John. All in all, a great mess.
Second, because of the family ties -albeit distant- between them, since Shantel's grandfather and Dean's father were cousins. I repeat, distant, but the family wouldn't approve of their romance. That without counting that everybody seemed to be on Michelle's side. A disaster, then.
And the third reason were the constant infidelities of both. Dean had dated other people when they were sweethearts, and so did she. Only Dean had at least dated single women, but Shantel had one or two relationships with married guys, also of the family to top it all off. That had complicated things even more.
However, that morning Dean was willing to forgive her for everything. He begged, pleaded to her that she woould come back with him. He even promised to marry her, -something unusual on his part-. Shantel's answer was always the same: no. Dean started to believe what they said out there, that she was heartless.
Even if that was true, Dean decided to make one last attemnpt to convince her to go with him to Bridgeport.
Shantel hesitated for an instant. It was a magic moment that, sadly, was very short-lived.
In the end, Shantel refused to go with Dean. She told her she had another boyfriend in HIdden Springs, she didn't say who he was, and Dean didn't even want to imagine it.
This time it was the end.
"Goodbye Shantel, I hope you don't regret this".
Shantel was the only woman Dean had been in love with, but to his bad luck, apparently he had made a bad choice.
Disappointed, Dean left Shantel's house and went straight to the airport. He'd take the first flight to Bridgeport and, if possible, would never return to Hidden Springs ever again.
"You always had a heart of stone. Well, this is as far as I go. I hope you don't pay dearly for this. Good luck, Shant".
"It's over, goodbye Hidden Springs".
