Karen was born in Aurora Skies, she's the daughter of Lief Helgason, an eccentric businessman. We don't have any data about her mother, there for it's presumed that she's an adoptive child. Karen is hyperactive, workaholic and a perfectionist. She worked in the Journalism career, but she changed to the Science career after she got married. But she's still and amateur writer, mainly of Science Fiction. She finds her inspirations in her time travels to the Futuro with her restless husband, the scientist and bot builder Dylan Shen, who she met in High School, with whom she attended college and got married right after graduation. Karen is also a news correspondent in the futuristic city of Oasis Landing, where she travels constantly with Dylan and their three children: Dustin, Juliette and Logan, two young adults and a teenager. They are all familiarized with life in the future and they even enjoy it, but they preferr the traditional present time in their beloved Aurora Skies. Just like her husband, Karen is computer genius, but she loves the outdoors like the mountains, she's a vehicle enthusiast and has a great sense of humor. Her Lifetime wish is to become a Chess Master.
