Dylan, The Mad Scientist

The next morning, to distract himself a bit from the problems and long hours of study, Dylan went to the park. There he found a cockatoo of a kind he had never seen before, at least not in the flesh.

He had fun playing with it and the cockatoo seemed to like Dylan, cause she didn't separate from him anymore. Shortly after they were friends already, so Dylan decided to take her with him to the dorm and then to Aurora Skies, but first he would have to get her a cage.

Karen visited the park as well, although she didn't meet Dylan cause she was in another area, watching the performance of an amateour acrobat.

On her way home she found a very strange seed.

And she thought a seed like that could be of interest to Dylan, for his science experiments, so upon arriving home, she put the seed in a box with a bow and gave it to him. Dylan was impressed with the gift. "Wow, for me? This is incredible! Thank you, Karen".

Later, Karen dressed up in a hurry and left for a party at the Nerds dormitory. She was a little sad cause Dylan had chosen not to go, he was still stressed because of the final exam. Or could it be he still had doubts about oficially restarting their relationship?

 

Anyway, during the party, Karen met more people, this time she befriended the famous Mahmoud Yavari, the dorm chief, Level 10 of the Nerds group, another vampire like his deceased friend Cid.

Dylan has stayed at home with the intention of studying all night, but someone came to visit.

It was Sharon, the plant sim that Dylan had met at the Meet & Greet. Sharon stayed and talked for a while. Her and the company of his new cockatoo distracted Dylan from the stress of his coming exam.

Dylan made Sharon laugh by sharing some of his funniest videos.

And she corresponded by gifting him with some herbs.

Unfortunately she didn't stay much longer. Sharon used to leave like that, in a hurry, leaving a trail of flowers in her wake.

Meanwhile, Karen got bored at Paris party.

When she returned home, Dylan had gone to sleep, but she wasn't sleepy yet, so she practiced chess until fatigue overcame her.

Dylan woke up before dawn to fulfill a wish: to detonate an old broken computer, as a part of one of his scientific experiments.

 

He placed the computer on a table in the garden, prepared the dynamite, Colocó la computadora sobre una mesa en el jardín, preparó la dinamita, lit the fuse and... 

He ran to the other end of the yard while the countdown started. Five, four, three, two, one...

Ka-boom!

Explosions! Flames! Balls of Fire! Who needs a computer when making explode is much more fun?

Obviously, after the detonation a fire broke out. Dylan had to act quickly and put it out before Karen would wake up and got frightened at the sight of the flames.

But it was late, Karen had heard the explosion and had come running. She wasn't scared, but very angry cause the noise had interrupted her sleep. Plus, it turned out that the detonated computer was one that she intended to sell to make some money. Now that would be impossible! 

"But Dylan, how could you destroy my computer?"

"I thought it was broken. I'm really sorry, Karen".

So what. Karen wouldn't recover her computer, but at least she could sleep a few more hours before having to study for the exams. Dylan for his part, still had time for another experiment. Not with detonators, of course.
