Memories From Aurora Skies: The Shens

Now let's go to Aurora Skies, a realtively new world. Only one of my families live here for now. We're talking about the Shen-Langerak family from Hidden Springs, formed by Sienna Langerak; her husban Lei Shen, originally from China; and their son Dylan.

Sienna is the youngest daughter of Parker and Layla Langerak, one of the most renowned and appreciated couples from Hidden Springs. Sienna is a Scientist and tomb raider. It was during one of ther trips that she met Lei. Due to work matters she had to move to Aurora Skies, but since she was small she lived in her hometwon, Hidden Springs.

Lei Shen, Sienna's huband is in the Athletic career and has reached the highest level, Superstar Athlete. Lei and Sienna met in Shang Simla, they fell in love, got married and went to live to Hidden Springs. Just like Sienna, Lei likes Science and his hobbies are reading, gardening and cooking.

Dylan is still a teen, he is in high school. He likes Aurora Skies, but it was sad for him to have to leave his best friends from Hidden Springs, Simon and Jessica Langerak. Of course, Dylan is a very friendly young guy, it won't take him long to make friends here.

So far the Shens have been doing well in Aurora Skies. Dylan is about to graduate from high school, then he will be able to attend college, where he hopes to be reunited with his friends. He still hasn't choose a major, but he will have to make his decision soon. He wants to be a great scientist like his mother, whom he admires and with whom he gets along wonderfully, so he may choose something realted to Science, yes.

  Mind over matter, the succesful application of logic to solve problems, and the search for knowledge and truth are what motivate Sienna in her study of Logic. The chess matches, the observation of the stars and reading are a good start, but the road to logic is long, and sometimes dangerous!

 

 

Finally! Sienna at last disvored the right formula for the Mood Enhancer potion

One of the first activities of the Shen family in Aurora Skies was to organize a party at the community pool to meet their new neighbors. The party was a great success.

 

  And at the end they were able to enjoy this beautiful landscape.

Since then, the Shens have attended several parties in Aurora Skies, one of those was where Dylan met Karen Helgason. Dylan likes Karen a lot, but for now they are just friends. We'll see what happens later.

Sienna and Lei during one of their romantic moments. They're one of the most solid couples of the legacy. Despite the years they are still very much in love.

The evening did not end well. Dylan was caught out past his curfew. What awaits him when he gets home...

He obviously got a a lecture from his dad, with the subsequent punishment: to have to stay at home on a Saturday, and with the weather being so wonderful outside.

As a part of his punishment, Dylan had to help with some household chores, but around noon his mother lift the punishment. Dylan apologized with his mom, so now he can go out to have fun and enjoy his Saturday.

Dylan apologized to his father too, now everything is well between them. Peace has returned to the Shens' house.

 Sienna took advantage the her day off to learn a new recipe, Fish and Chips. Delicious!

  On Monday, after school, Cassidy Wrede came home with Dylan. The just met each other, she's a nice girl and it looks like she's intereste in Dylan. Too bad he's still thinking about Karen.

But Cassidy is very nice with him and Dylan is happy to have her as a friend. Cassidy for her part hasn't lost hope to be something else for him someday.

The impressive performance of Sienna in her job has earned her a promotion to Useless Contraption Manipulator. The name is weird, but the pay is very good. Plus, she received a bonus of $636!

 

 Dylan had a great week too. He's been doing well at school and managed to get in the honor roll! No doubt, the Shens' life in Aurora Skies has brought new triumphs for them, and new goals to conquer!
