Memories of March 5, 2013
And the great day arrived, Dylan took his aptitude test to get in the Universidad. His results: 1,900 points of 2,400 and a scholarship of 2,500 simoleons to study Medicine and Sience.
A little gift, a stuffed llama.
Days later, he arrived to what would be his home for two trimesters: a University dorm room. It isn't very fancy, but the rents are a bit high on campus. It was free at the dorm and, for now, he won't have to share the room with anyone.
Besides, he got the equipment for his studies. A not very nice but necessar company.
Of course, Dylan had his backpack to carry his books, and he got his class schedule as well.
Before going to the Meet & Greet, he entertained himself playing at the pool table in the dorm's recreation area.
Once at the welcome meeting, she took a chocolate bar from the souvenirs table.
But it wasn't to his liking, as we can see.
Form there, he went to meet his professors.
And then he went to a conference.
He received his first invitation to a fraternity party as well.
A few hours later he's arriving to the party.
It was a formal party, and there was Ludo Vicco, the party organizer, and one of the fraternity leaders apparently.
There was also Tammy, one of the girls that live in the same dormitory as Dylan.
The "juice" keg was one of the main attractions.
All Dylan's dorm mates were there, so Dylan had the chance to get to know them better.
And he didn't miss the opportunity to familiarize with the keg either.
Back from the party, it's almost midnight, Dylan called his girlfriend Karen for the first time since his arrival. She was very happy to hear from him.
And the to the the showers to take one before going to sleep. In the morning, his first day of school awaited for him.
It's the morning after. Dylan ran to his first class of the trimester.
This is one of the buildigs where Dylan will have to go to class everyday.
The cafeteria is another of the meeting points.
That was one of the first places Dylan visited since he was very hungry between claes and there wasn't time to go to the dorm for a snack.
He hardly had time to arrive to his next class, already in the evening.
After school, Dylan headed to Ludo Vicco's fraternity house to check the job board and see if he could find something to earn money with.
There were daytime jobs and opportunities to enter the different social groups.
On his way home he was suprised by a hailstorm and he only had his bicycle, he should consider getting himself a car.
As he headed home he thought about Karen, in how much he missed her and how he would have liked them to have attended college together, but in those days it wasn't possible.
This is how the University looks at night.
One of the areas of interest for Dylan is the School of Science Proving Ground, he spent a lot of hours there, experimenting with different devices.
Dylan Shen has learned the ways of Science! The existential equations of life and all things here referred to as 'subjects' make even more sense to Dylan.
After being imbued with knowledge at the University Proving Ground, Dylan had to go to the supermarket for supplies and personal items.
Then he stopped by the comic bookstore, where he ran into his cousin Cornell Langerak, who has started as well his studies at Uni. Taking advantage of this meeting, Cornell invited him to one of his parties.
At Cornell's party he ran into Alexandra Goth, who is also his cousin on his aunt Myra's side.Myra is his grandma Layla's sister. Alexandra shares a house at the campus with Cornell, cause they are already sweethearts. Dylan found her extremely attractive, but... 1) She is his cousin, though distant. 2) She is a more or less serious relationship with Cornell -although they're cousins too 3) Dylan has a girlfriend back in Aurora Skies, namely Karen.
It was and incredible night, Dylan could see his old Hidden Springs acquaintances, plus, he returned home without worries in the "new" car that he got thanks to his good relationships with the Fraternity. This is how Dylan's first days at the University went.
