Sandy Kamel (Sandy Alto is her married name), is the daughter of Amin Kamel and Jane Carrington. She studied Business, worked hard and became CEO of Sand, Sun and Surf Corp of Sunlit Tides where she moved to after graduating from college, leaving behind Hidden Springs and her ex-boyfriend Simon Langerak, with whom she could not continue her relationship for various reasons, personal and family.
In Sunlit Tides, Sandy became the girlfriend of Governor Kai Kahale, they later became engaged, but their relationship ended shortly before the wedding because Sandy discovered that Kai was married and had a family. After this second disappointment, Sandy met Griffin Alto, her former boss at Sand, Sun and Surf Corp, with whom she fell in love and married in a private wedding. Sandy and Griffin currently live in Hidden Springs, while their five children, Amina, Adam, Aidan, Alexis and Alina, decided to stay in Sunlit Tides to pursue their different careers. Sandy used to be an only daughter, but her parents recently gave her a little brother, Tommy Kamel.
