Memories from Monte Vista: Farah and Robert

Before we go on with the memories of the Goth family from Hidden Springs, and to follow the chronological order of the events in my game, we're moving to Monte Vista, where Alexandra, the firstborn daughter of John and Aimee Goth, is living now with her boyfriend, Cornell Langerak and some of her cousins.
The plan was to install themselves in Monte Vista to, once there, prepare themselves, work and gather funds to pay for their University careers. Despite being all of them children of wealthy families, this group of young people turned out to be very mature and independent. Anyway, I won't say more, you will get to know them as the story progresses. ;)

Monte Vista
Memories of February 2013

As I already mentioned, the organizers of this trip to Monte Vista were Alexandra Goth and her boyfriend Cornell Langerak. Alexandra is the oldest of the John and Aimee Goth's children. Alexandra and Cornell became sweethearts recently. Cornell failed romance with her cousin Sandy is still recent, as well as a relationship never accomplished with another of his cousins, Farah Kamel. In the end, it was Alexandra with whom he was able to get along. It turns out she's his relative, although not so close.

Alexandra carries the mark of the Goths. She likes everything that has to do with mystery, that's why she chose the Private Investigator career, in which she is already working and progressing before starting the University.

Upon arriving to Monte Vista, Alexandra immediately got a job and day after day she goes out to solve her cases in her car which, by the way, she inherited from Grandpa Mortimer, as she is his favorite granddaughter. She's been working only for a few weeks, and she has solved three cases already, whereby the mayor of Monte Vista has granted her the Investigator's Trophy of Honor. That's a good start.

In the meantime, Cornell is dedicated to his Athletic career, waiting as well for the moment to go to college with his girlfriend and the rest of the group, still a few days to go. First, they will have to take the University Aptitude Test, for which there isn't an established date yet.

But it isn't Alexandra and Cornell who I'm going to talk about now, but their cousin, Farah Kamel. She came to Monte Vista too to look for a job while the day to go to college arrives.

Farah is the daughter of Anwar and Noelle Kamel. Her father and Alexandra's are first cousins. Farah doesn't have a boyfriend for now cause she's just focused only on her biggest dream: becoming a writer, although she's and amateur painter as well. Farah is a restless and very active girl, so she will probably be able to handle both.

In the beginning, Farah lived with all her cousins in a house rented by Alexandra and Cornell, but she has always been very independent and likes to deal with her own life, so, with the help of her parents, she managed to move to a house for herself in the outskirts of Monte Vista. A very nice and quiet place, perfect to find inspiration to write her novels.

Though she doesn't always work at home, Farah loves to go out and in Monte Vista there are several places to go, so it isn't strange that Farah ended up working at the cafeteria.

After spending practically all her day writing, Farah still dedicates a part of the evening to paint. Her life went on this way, in solitude, accompanied only by her easel, her paintings and her novels.

...Until one rainy morning, when she was trying to return home after a walk at the beach. Then, without looking for it, suddenly love knocked on her door. He appeared before her with a big smile and a pleasant conversation. His name: Robert Remington.

Robert offered to walk her home in the middle of the downpour. While they ran together under the rain, Farah had the feeling that something important was coming.

Once home, Robert stayed for the afternoon, and so they got to know each other. Robert told Farah he was a beginner singer. He wanted to be famous and make a lot of money, sell records, win at festivals, go on tours and all the stuff singers want. He had great ambition, just like her.

The spark was instantly lit, with it came the first kiss, and before the nightfall, Farah and Robert were already in love.

Farah was sure Rob was the love of her life. She had had other romances, but none as Robert's. That's why she accepted when he asked her to go steady. But Farah was not the only one in the group, besides Alexandra, that landed a steady relationship.

Her uncle, Kory Kamel, son of Uncle Abdul, not only found a girlfriend, but he also went further and marry her before even taking the University test, lol. The love of his life is Simona Valenci, a girl from Monte Vista, who also fell in love with him instantly. What's with this city that everybody falls in love within seconds?

Farah could hardly believe it when Kory announced to her that he had gotten married. Wow, and he didn't even invite her, or Alexandra, neither Cornell nor William. All the group was surprised by Kory's sudden decision. Cause not only he married Simona, but he has decided as well not to attend College, and he won't return to Hidden Springs either, he'll stay in Monte Vista with Simona and will work in the country. Wait until you see what Uncle Abdul and Aunt Kaylynn will think of this!

Farah hopes she won't end up like Kory, she does want to go to Uni, major in Fine Arts, paint a lot of paintings and write a lot of novels. Although, for now, she can only work, wait and entertain herself while watching the days go by in Monte Vista, with her sweetheart Robert Remington, of course.

Since Farah moved to Alexandra and Cornell's house, she has rarely seen them. Kory and his wife Simona, on the other hand, he sees them daily. On weekends, they invite them for dinner and for a movie. They say they're planning to have a child soon. Boy, has Kory's life changed, just yesterday he was just a boy playing in the streets of Hidden Springs.

Farah and Robert's romance continued full steam ahead. Robert's house was far away, so he often spent the night with Farah, until she suggested that he moved in with her. She didn't have to ask him twice.

Now they live together, they work, share expenses and even the house chores, almost like a married couple. Perhaps it is the moment to take the big step? But - without having completed a degree? No problem, there are a lot of married couples who attend college. In this case would be Farah only, since Robert doesn't have to go to the University to become a singer.

Farah is not the kind of woman who thinks only of being a mother and a housewife, she wants something more, but, like all the Kamels, she wishes with all her heart to have a family. So, after a long discussion with Robert, they decided, they will get married right away! That same winter, Farah graduated from high school and got her certificate. She was ready to go to the University. That day was closer now! But the wedding would take place first.

Robert's friends threw a bachelor party for him, among them was Rebecca, his ex-girlfriend. She seemed to regret having broken up with Robert. He's soo handsome - what a lucky girl Farah is.

While Farah prepared her admission to the University, and the details of her wedding, Robert continued working hard to consolidate his singer career. It wasn't any easy, it was just the beginning and the most he could do was to deliver sing-a-grams to the wealthy and spoiled.

Between hard work, preparations and big expectations, the day of the wedding finally arrived. Just like her uncle Kory, Farah didn't notify her parents, she knew they would likely oppose or would want the wedding to be in Hidden Springs. But she didn't want to wait, so she just sent them a letter, telling them it was a decision made and she also apologized to them.

In a ceremony at an exclusive club from Monte Vista, with only a few of Robet's friends and Farah's cousins as guests, they pronounced their vows, exchanged rings and sealed their union with a long amorous kiss.

Farah became Mrs. Remington and her city of residence from now on would be Monte Vista, where she was supposed to have gone only to study.

And now she is here, married with an unknown singer, with whom she is madly in love. She would've never imagined this.

Fate. Since she was a teen, she swore that she'd never get married, that she would dedicate herself entirely to her writing career. How in a single instant your whole life can change!

And Robert? Just yesterday he longed for Rebecca, he suffered because she had preferred his friend Edward over him. And here he was today, eating wedding cake with his wife.

His wife, Farah Kamel, the love of his life.

None of the two was able to hide the love they felt for each other. They spent the whole night whispering in each other's ears and smiling. You know, like lovers do.

A new life starts for both. There's still a lot of work to do, but for the moment, Farah and Robert are planning to take a break to enjoy their marriage and, of course, their honeymoon.
