The end of the Truce

While Reneé pregnancy lasted, peace reigned in the Langeraks home, allowing them, for the first time, to live the closest to a normal life.

 

Jason continued performing and enjoying periods of tranquility at home.

Even Merlin seemed more relaxed and cheerful.

Josie enjoyed the beach, learned to snorkel.

She even graduated from high school, which meant she would return soon to stay in Sunset Valley for good. But... They say nothing lasts forever and that was exactly what happened to the Langeraks. 

Their period of peace, their truce, ended the day Reneé discovered a letter to Jason from a fan in the mailbox: "My dear Jason, receive this gift along with all my love and admiration. Yours, Bebe Hart".

"What? So now he's cheating on me with that bimbo?"

 

  Reneé was so angry that she didn't mind throwing away nine months of truce. In an impulse, to take revenge, she flirted as much as she could with the Port-A-Party discotheque owner. A simple flirt which didn't escalate, and which would have gone completely unnoticed had there not been so many paparazzi around her.

 

Upon arriving home, Reneé felt guilty and worried. With all those paparazzi going around the venue, Jason could find out what had happened sooner or later. But... didn't he deserved it for cheating on her with Bebe Hart?

While she thought about all this, Jason was giving one of his magic shows, unsuspecting of what had happened.

To top it all off, that same night, Reneé's pregnancy reached full-term.

They both had to rush to the hospital. Their second child was about to be born. Or should we say, their second daughter, cause it was a girl they named Katya.

With all the hype surrounding the baby's arrival, the whole Bebe Hart and Port-A-Party thing was momentarily forgotten. 

Once free of her pregnancy, Reneé was able to enjoy her liberty and spent her days walking on the beach while Jason stayed at home with Katya. 

 

 

Everything was going smoothly... 

...Until Jason found out from the tabloids about Reneé's affair with the owner of the Port-A-Party.

"Well done, Reneé, now thanks to you I am the laughing stock of Sunset Valley!

"You don't say, well none of this would've happend if you hadn't cheated on me with that Bebe Hart!

"Who the f*ck is Bebe Hart?"

 And war started again. Jason's disgust was so big that he was about to ask for a divorce at that very moment. but he contained himself.

 

Days later, Reneé found out that there wasn nothing between Jason and Bebe, who was no one but a simple fan. Then she apologized for him for his slip-up with the Port-A-Party owner, but it was late, cause Jason had lost confidence in her, apparently, forever. This was the beginning of the end of the Langerak-Dumont marriage.
