Dinner With the Wassems

The long-awaited dinner at the Wassems, Aaron's parents. Both Nabila and Khaled are native from Egypt. He is the half-brother of Farid Kamel, Kay's great-grandfather and founder of the Kamel dynasty.

He met Nabila during one of his adventures around his hometown, Egypt uno de sus viajes a Egipto. After he retired from exploring he joined the Education career and he's currently a History and Geography teacher at the Local High School. Nabila followed the Cooking career, she's a Five Star Chef now.

That evening, before he arrived,  Aaron told Khaled and Nabila that he and Kay were engaged. The news of the coming wedding was a real surprise, especially for Khaled, cause many years ago, he had been in love with Elisa, Kay's mother.

Nabila couldn't finish her dinner cause she had to go to work, she even rushed outside cause she was late already.

Kay and Aaron stayed at the table with Khaled, talking about their wedding plans. Khaled tried to pay attention to what they were saying , but he was still shocked by the news, and even more shocked with Kay's resemblance to her mother. He and Elisa couldn't be cause they were relatives, although distant, but the whole family had disapproved of their relationship. It turned out Aaron and Kay were relatives too, but fortunately even more distant, so Khaled and Nabila had no objection to it. Of course, Kay's parents' opinion was still to be known, especially Elisa's. Khaled wondered why she would say when she knew about this.

Kay for her part was nicely impressed with her future in-laws, who seemed adorable to her; and with their house, a true mansion, decorated with the purest and most beautiful egyptian style. The fact that Aaron's parents were foreigners wasn't strange for her, since her father was a native from another country too. Plus her great-grandfather, for starters, also had arrived from Egypt to his new home, Hidden Springs.

After dinner, Khaled asked to speak to Aaron aloney. Then he explained to him all about his past with Elisa Huan, Kay's mother. Aaron already knew some things that kay had told him so he took it easy. He knew in advance that he and Kay weren't direct relatives. (Aaron happened to be Kay's 'half-grandfather' or something like that).

At the end of the day, Khaled congratulated his son for his engagement with Kay, cause he thought she was not only pretty but intelligent and a nice girl too. Plus, deep inside he was happy that He was glad that what had not been possible between him and Elisa, could be realized in this new generation.

While Aaron and his father talked, Kay entertained herself admiring once more the house beautiful decoration and playing with Sheba, the pet of the Wassems.

Almost at midnight, Aaron left the parental home happy and satisfied. Sometimes he had missed all that and considered returning to live with his parents, but the prospect of having his own home with Kay made him more excited than anything else

Kay, in turn, came out of there delighted. The Wassems' house was beautiful and cozy; the food had been excellent and Aaron's father was a darling. Now she understood why her mother had fallen so hard in love with him, and from whom Aaron had inherited his good  looks and character. As for Nabila, she hadn't had time to get to know her well, but she hoped to see her more often after the wedding so they could become friends. In a nutshell, both Kay and Aaron, and Khaled of course, could say without fear of being wrong that the evening had been unforgettable.
