Mike and Miranda: A new Love

Starlight Shores, December 28, 2012

Let's go back to Starlight Shores to see what has happened with Miranda and Mike. He continued to Mike reap success in his Business career. He finally became a shareholder partner of the Business Tower and the Broad Street Restaurant, which entitled him to a percentage of the profits. Now the goal was to buy out his partners to gain control and more money. Surely it wouldn't take long for him to achieve this.

Lisa on the other hand, she was not doing well. His relationship with Mike had gone cold, which made her anxious. For a good while she had had his attention, but lately he seemed distant.

And he was, cause he didn't feel the same about Lisa. He has lost interest in the relationship. That was why you could see him walking around the gardens of the mansion. Lonely and absent-minded.

The worst was that Miranda was behaving the same way. She felt very lonely since the Mike's relationship with her grandma has started.

But now Mike seemed to have come back to reality, he even had moved out from Lisa's bedroom to a one of his own.

Miranda enjoyed the fame and wealth that the sale of her first album had brought her, but she still felt that something was missing in her life. If only her relationship with Mitch Lee could turn into something more.

Miranda's whishes became true during a costume party there at grandman's. That night she and Mitch got closer, he told her that he was preparing to separate from his wife, Sonoko. Maybe this time something between them would be possible?

The spark was lit again.

At the same party, Mike reamained separated from Lisa, reliving old days with Madeleine. It seems like she  never gives up!

Lisa didn't like the situation at all, but she had to console herself dancing with Simon Steele, the famous Acrobat. A very nice consolation, we must say, since Simon, besides being handsome, is great dancer.

Miranda and Mitch watched the stars together and thus a relationship, although somewhat informal, started.

Time continue to pass, Mirtanda divided her career life between concerts and sing-a-grams. She even delivered some to her beloved Mitch once in a while, but as she wasn't oficially separated from his wife yet, he always seemed nervous and a little scared of being caught red-handed. A very awkward situation for Miranda.

Mike, for his part, continued ahead with his business and cultivating his public relations. He was already known for practically every important person in Starlight Shores. Here he was, doing business with Erin Casanova, The Great Winston's wife.

Lisa dind't know what to do to get Mike's attention. She got to the point of taking a vacation from her career to go with him to his business meetings and talk to Mike's customers herself. But that didn't work either, She and Mike continued to drift away from each other more and more each day.

As if by magic, the old friendship between Mike and Miranda resurged with new strenght. They both started to get closer and to spend more time together.

Although, in reality, Miranda didn't have much time between her relationship with Mitch, her job, her tours and concerts...

Such as, for example, that wonderful concert at the MN8. Miranda still remembers it well. How to forget everything that happened that night.

This concert was her absolute consolidation as a Starlight Shores favorite.

The reviews were more than benevolent with her:
"This was a great show. What Miranda Shine doesn't have in experience was more than compensated with the energy and passion".

Sadly, the joy of her success at the MN8 was quickly vanished when she arrived to Mitch's house, where she found it happily flirting with Edith Marx.

As it is obvious, she demanden an explanatikon, but he refuse to give it to her with the classic argument that he and Miranda weren't engaged. That was enough for her.

"So we're not engaged, huh? If only you  had told me!"
Miranda did not hold back and broke up with Mitch... in her own style.

That was the end of her romance with Mitch Lee. She's alone again, what a disappointment. To top it off, rumors about her have started to spread around the city. Now her reputation is "exploring her options", all thanks to that jerk Mitch.

Miranda's consolation was around the corner. Just one night later, Mike asked her out on a date. TRhey met at Los Sueños Private Club.

Mike had been close to her during those days, waiting for an opportunity. It seems like that opportunity has finally arrived.

And Mike did not waste it. In just one night she kissed her for the first time and proposed to go steady.

Miranda realized that she had always had felt something special for Mike, something stronger than what she felt for Mitch. Maybe this was true love? But -- How was it that, having it so close, she hadn't noticed it?

Whatever, that's in the past, thing is Miranda & Mike started a relationship that promised to be long-lasting. Now the problem will be to inform it to her grandmother.

When Lisa found out, she was not only furious, but she kicked Mike out of her house.
"Miranda is my granddaughter, so she can stay if she wants, but you - I don't want to see you here ever again!", she sentenced.

And later, to retaliate, she accepted top go on a date with Mitch Lee.

Mitch had probably found out about Miranda and Mike's relationship, so she invited Lisa out as a revenge for the face slap Miranda had given him a few days earlier. This trick by Mitch and Grandma was the last thing Miranda could stand.

That same day, Miranda and Mike left grandma's house together. Goodbye to the mansion, the parties, and to the rich and famous. They're back to living like mere mortals.

As they didn't have where to go at the moment, they decided to return to their former home, the one that had burned down. A few repairs, some paint, a few new rugs and courtains were enough. The important thing was that, from that they on, a new life and a new love started for Mike and Miranda.
